As the new port of Alanya was builded in the last years high tonage cruise ships begun to visit port of Alanya. At first cruise ships of Israel visited Alanya. Now other cruise ships from vfarious ports of Europa took Alanya into their visiting list.
Post of Alanya is just at the middle of the town infront of the old Selcuk turkish Fortress called "Kizil Kule" the Red Tower" On the right of the red Tower you can visit the fisrt Turkish ship yard builded by Selcuk Sultan Alaettin in 13th centuary. Sultan Alaettin gave his name to the city "Alaiye" now Alanya. A cruise traveller can find himself in the Bazaar of Alanya within 5 walking minutes after the gets of the pass control. The tourist can walk, buy in Alanya. The pix is from 20 years ago showing old port of Alanya.

"Food"

This week we ate on Marina,Kervan and Mapheri alongside the bay as well as Banana Beach club on the eastern Beach. All restaurants have fantastic food but my best experience was the Osmani kebab on the Banana Beach club and the Plank Steak at Kervan.
We were served a lot of wines. Yakut and Angora table wines were the ones i chosed to take home with me.

Typical price for dinner including wine was around 120ytl for 4adlt and one child.

"Prices"

You have to try to bargain. If not Alanya shopping will be an expensive experience to you. The only really cheap thing we found was the handicraft sold by an old woman by the castle.

"Nightlife"

It seems to be wery good for the young and handsome(not for me)
The crowded shopping area between the Ataturk street and the bay is full of restaurants both inside and out on the streets.
