"Where we stayed - Pinar hotel"
First off if you are planning a trip to this area (Alanya). It is quite touristee on the surface.
For some this could be just what they want so lets not knock it.

Anybody else???
Hi all have just booked for a fortnight in Alanya 7th May next year.
Was a managers special at the pinar hotel,is anyone else going there or does anybody know what the resort/hotel is like?

Hi. We have just arrived back from the Hotel Pinar in Alanya and it was definately an experience!
It was a brilliant holiday and all the staff (5 of them) at the Pinar made us feel very welcome and couldn't do enough for us.
On arrival we didn't like the state the bath was in when we arrived, so they immediately allocated us another room, which was fine.
The rooms (and hotel) is basic (as it is only a 2*) but although there are no extra facilities except for a cafe bar and excellant outdoor very clean pool, the hotel is clean and friendly run.
Breakfast was egg, cereal, toast, bread and jams, salad and cheeses with teas, coffee and fruit juices. The restaurant was very clean with good service.
It is also within 5mins of the centre of Alanya and beach with the Big Ben pub just round the corner.
We were the last people to vacate the hotel this morning and before we were picked up the hotel started to close down for the season with no chairs to sit on, all the pictures taken down, carpets up, and rooms emptied!! It was like a ghost hotel!!
