I was in Antalya in May/June of this year, and enjoyed it so much that now I want to take my partner there. :)
Unfortunately, the only time we'll be be able to travel is in early to mid-December. And some people I met last time told me that that time of year is very rainy in Antalya. Is this true? If we stay there for a week, will it rain the entire time or can we expect a couple of nice sunny days as well?
Or should we just go to the Canaries instead??
Tesekkur edirim!
Hi,
last two years, Antalya had rains and floods in December with storm. Although it is not the regular pattern, they all lasted max 3 days. I went twice to Antalya in decemberin the past and had great weather. It is unpredictable and pure chnace. If you have nice wetaher itis great to visit during Dec. lass crowded, mild weather, relaxing.Up to you to take chances. Another idea is if Antalya has bad weather other parts like Aegean coast would most likely be having good weather.
Anyway, good luck.
Last year Antalya was rainy in decembre for a few days but mostly it was sunny.Of course nobody can quarantee the weather condition during your stay.if u need any other professional support pls do not hesitate to contact with me.

The prominent ones among the bath in Antalya are Yivli minare Bath(XIII.century) and Cifte Bath(XVI.century) in the city center,Caycibasi Bath(XVI.century) in Korkuteli and Bey Bath(XVI.century) in Elmali. As for the baths perpetuating traditional bath culture in Antalya I can mention about SEFA BATH(Kaleici),Akdeniz Bath,Antalya Yeni Bath,Nazir Hamami(Kaleici),and Ottoman Bath.In order to live through bath culture it is essantial to have a real experience of Turkish Bath, however,it is possible to have bath ritual at home with the products designed for bath.

The ancient city of Antalya was protected by two walls, in the shape of a horseshoe, one enclosing it along the shore and the other inland. In addition, there were walls within the city separating the various settlements, and a great number of towers. the walls were built from many stone blocks with ancient inscriptions. They were well protected until the end of the 19th century.
Patara is situated in the Gelemis village of Kas,near the Xanthos(Esen)stream that defines the western border of Antalya province. It is one of the first settlements of the Lycian people and is the biggest Lycian city, spread over a 100 hectare site.
The god Apollo and Saint Nicholas, better known as Santa Claus, were both born here.
The name of the city in the native Trmmili language is "Pttara".In written sources from the Hittite period,it is evident that the city existed under the name of "Lukka's Patar".
The city was Lycia's main harbour during its long and prosperous history.Furthermore ,it was honored with the title "Head of the Lycian race" after Alexander and with the privilege of being the oracle centre for the god Apollo.Patara was the capital city of the Lycian League for years and the capital city of Rome's Lycia-Pamphylia province for 250 years.
Patara beach is one of the biggest and longest and the most amazing beach of the region near to Patara.18 km beach sometimes reaches 200 meter depth. It is the one of the place that sea turtles leave their eggs, this beach is under protection.
Club 29 is a restaurant/club in old harbor. The food here is good but definately very expensive !!! Especially on weekends when it gets crowded, service is slow. I have been there couple times, but not satisfied.
