to get to Anamur by bus

by hatte

Hello. I plan to arrive at Antalya airport at 1:10am, and I want to get to Anamur as early as possible.

But, since the arrival time of my flight is so late (or so early), I wonder what time I can take the bus to Antalya otogar.
(I find the bus timetable, and it indicates the last bus leaves the airport at 1:10. Is it means the bus leave just before we get to the bus station, or is the time has been changed?)

And, I also have no idea wether or not there is direct bus bound for Anamur from Antalya, and if it is, how often these buses leave Antalya.

Could anyone tell me any information, please?
Thank you in advance.

I only know that there are direct buses between Antalya and Anamur (I travelled the opposite way a few years ago). The bus ride takes about 5 hours and the last hours of this bus ride can for many be a pain. I didn’t have any problems but it is not a road for people who easily get travel sickness (but the view is beautiful). Several people in the bus asked for small black plastic bags to throw up in. The road from Alanya towards Anamur is winding along the mountain slopes by the coast. From Antalya on to Alanya it is a big straight road.

Get a flight ticket to Adana

by neodue

Road is horrible between Antakya and Anamur.I suggest you to sleep at the airport and change the terminal go to domestic terminal and fly to ADANA
from ANTALYA buy http://www.sunexpress.com.tr/ and you an fly 20,00TRY to 70,00TRY .But I do not know when you travel.Check this web site.

After 1 hour you arrive to ADANA.Get A bus from ADANA to ANTALYA and get off in ANAMUR. 2 hours you will spend buy bus.

cheers

Two hours between Adana and Anamur sounds too little. I travelled by bus from Mersin to Silifke and it took two hours. The next day I travelled from Silifke to Anamur and that took over three hours by bus (and also that road was partly narrow and winding).

Travel Tips for Antalya

by goodspkr

The Turkish people are very friendly, but they will tend to speak German to you first (there are a lot of German tourist). Smile and learn a few words of Turkish and you will be surprised how far that goes. I said Cok Guzel (choke goozel) a lot (it means very beautiful).

The best way to get around...

The best way to get around Antalya is going by 'Dolmus'.
Little busses that stop where- and whenever you like,
go stand along the road , hold your hand up when a dolmus is coming, and it takes you through Antalya

Aspendos aqueduct

by Diana75

The Aspendos aqueduct is a one kilometer-long series of 15 meter-high arches which brought water to the city from the mountains at the north.

The water was brought from the source in a channel made of stone blocks on top of the arches and it was collected at the ends of the aqueduct in 30 meters high towers.

ANTALYA - TURKEY

"Basic Antalya"

From my experience Antalya, as a whole, is not representative of Turkish life. However it can be found if you want to look for it.

The city itself, I found to be very interesting, and very cheap. there was plenty to do, if you were willing to push yourself a bit.

Going on trips is the thing to do, however if you like the sun then you can bake yourself every day as the weather is very hot and sunny.

Antalya is quite a cosmopolitan city with a depth of history that is waiting to be uncovered.
