By tram in Antalya

Trams in Antalya run on a single track or line. There are only two trams passing at a short length on double track at Kalekapisi. One way fare is YTL 1.00 per adult. Travelling by trams in Antalya is inexpensive and is a wonderful and perfect way to see the city of Antalya as the tram passes many major tourist attractions along the way. The tram is certainly comfortable and runs on a half hourly intervals from both ends between 7.00 a.m. and 9.00 p.m. daily.
The trams stop at the following stops:- Antalya Museum, Barbaros, Meslek Lisesi, Selekler Shopping Center, Kalekapisi, Uckapilar, Belediye, Isiklar, Cender and Zerdalilik. In a way the trams themselves are interesting tourist attractions as they are very colourful and look wonderful! Locals like to sit by the side of the tram line to look at tram passing by as depicted in our photograph above!

Which hotel?
by piglet44
Hi all,
going to Antalya end of march in a package deal ( I think)
everyone tells me this is much cheaper than taking a flight and looking for lodging separately. thing is I hate these huge hotels with loads of package travellers. So bearing that in mind which hotel should I go for: Lara, Cender, Delfin or Marmara?
anyone stayed at any of these and can recommend?
most grateful :-)

Hi, I'm just back from Antalya myself. Stayed at Antalya hotel - would not really recommend it. Prices and category are 4-stars, but it can hardly fetch 3 if assessed objectively.
If you don't like packaged tours, you might enjoy the possibility of easy transfer into town from your hotel. Cender is nearest to the town centre, Lara is a bit further out but still within the reach of public transportation (buses and mini-buses), the other two are further out of town and you'll find it more convenient to pick a cab from there (and more expensive also).
Hope that helps
