First trip to Antalya
We will be visiting Antalya around the middle of November and will be staying at the Talya Hotel. Can we get to the Antayla museum by taxi and what would be the approximate fare? Also, can someone tell us if the habor boat tours are going this time of year and the approximat price? Also, any advice on reasonable priced reasurants and shopping areas would be appreciated. Thank you for any information.

Hi Dave & Kay,
My husband and I went to Antalya in November last year. We didn't take a taxi to the museum so I wouldn't know how much that costs. Instead, we walked into town from Kaleici where we were staying, and then caught a tram to the museum. The tram cost less than 2 Turkish lira for the 2 of us.
The harbour boat tours were running. In fact, there were quite a few tour operators clamouring for our business. I'd suggest walking around the harbour and getting a few quotes. We haggled a little and ended up paying about 25 lira for the two of us.
We found a couple of nice restaurants while we were there - Restaurant 36 and Gul Restaurant, both at Kaleici and quite reasonably priced.
Have a nice time in Antalya. We loved it.

Yes you can get by taxi to the museum ask about the help of the hotel staff and dont worry about the price because they have taximeter beside this the hotel staff can arrange and fix the price for you.
Yes you can walk to the harbour from your hotel and you can make boat tours the price will depend upon the program of the day if they will serve a lunch than the price can change but you can make a small research on the harbour.
The most important restaurant of Antalya is "yedi mehmetler" ( the seven mehmets)this is the best restaurant that you can find in Antalya.Dont miss it
