If you have time, you may ask even there, whith so many people speaking English. Two years ago I even could get a one way flight from Istanbul to Düsseldorf in August for 240 Euro. The bus wouldn't have been much cheaper.
And you are planning to fly back to London whith Ryanair? So go to Estació del Nord whith enough time to search the place where you have to buy the bus ticket (inside in the upper floor)! And then which buses are leaving for Girona airport! A very original way back would be to catch a ferry from Santander (or Bilbao?) OK, you'll see what you do...

Aspendos

by Diana75

Aspendos, like most of the other Pamphylian cities, reached its height in the second and third centuries AD.

Although the city was not on the coast, it was located on the banks of river Eurymedon which allowed ships to reach Aspendos.

Among the famous Aspendians we ca count: Andromachos who was a famous military commander and the governor of Phoenicia and Syria and the philosopher Diodorus, known because he wore long hair and dirty clothes.

The beach

by MalenaN

The beach, Konyaalti Plaji, is to the west. It is a pebbled beach about 3 km long. Several hotels are built along the beach, but if you are staying in Kaleici you can take the tram to the end station Müze and then walk a few hundred metres down to the beach.

Antalya - surprising and captivating

by kek4la

I went to Antalya at a mathematical contest between 25 April and 1 May 2002.
It was MORE than I expected.Let me explain that:
After the Romanian revolution in 1989, the borders opened for romanians and they were free to go everywhere they wanted and aforded to.
Istanbul was a very searched place in the early 90's by romanians because it was a place of easy money.
Also Greece was the place of vacation for many economicaly stable families in Romania.I went there with my family too!
But slowly Antalya became the hotspot of vacations for romanians.People who went there said it was cheap, very good conditions and great scenery. It is said to be actually cheaper than romanian seaside resorts!!!
So that's why I belived it is highly overestimated.
I thought this was a scam to atract more tourists, that it's artificial, that there's nothing to see there except swimming pools.
WELL IT'S NOT LIKE THAT!
IT'S A WONDERFULL PLACE!
This city is awesome!
Great views, nice people, great conditions, great history, great atmosphere!
