From Damascus to Antalya

by kalboishakhi

Hi...i will be going to Damascus in november,2008 to attend the Damascus international film festival and want to know how expensive will it be to travel from Damascus to antalya? is it possible to get a visa for turkey from Syria or do i have to have it from india?

Nobody answered, so I will try to guess something. I couldn't find exact answers on net, yet. From Antalya to Antep 764km,to Urfa 898 km. Very long way. It can be around 40 euros. There are some flights sometimes. As a general, taking visa from your own country is easier. I advice to apply now.
Have a good trip.

From Adana to Antalya
Are you one of those Indian beauties? I wish you win a price. The first and last Indian film that I saw was "Avare" with Raj Kaopoor in 1950's. The film made a great success in Turkey. The film melodie "Avare" is still sung in Turkey.

Yeni Adana bus company
ADANA-ANTALYA departure:22:30 next day Antalya: 10:00
50.- YTL

"Has Turizm" bus company goes to Antalya from Hatay(Antakya) Has turizm has also bus line from Aleppo to Antakya or Iskenderun.
Dnont worry there is every half an hour mini bus or bus between Aleppo to Turkey. Just ask while in Aleppo to the hotel clerck.
Have a nice time.
for visa ask the Turkish embassy in India. They will give you right answer.

Travel Tips for Antalya

Old Turkish houses of Antalya

by Erkmen

While you are in Antalya, you will be surprised to see such a developing city. Every year I see new modern buildings and the city is growing toits outside limits..

However in the city center, inside the fortress you will see quiet amazing old Turkish houses.. Stay some while and enjoy the beauty of them.. Almost all of them are being renovated, but there are still some carrying the signs of history on their walls.

From Antalya to Datca

by MalenaN

I went to a couple of bus companies before I found one selling tickets to Marmaris (didn’t think it was going to be so hard). I was looking for Pamukkale bus company for a long time and went streets up and down, nobody seemed to know the exactly where it was. Finally I found the office a couple of blocks north of Cumhuriyet Caddesi. From the office there was a service bus in the morning.

The bus ride to Marmaris took about 6 hours. In Marmaris I waited half an hour for the dolmush to Datca. The ticket could be bought in a ticket office at the otogar (bus station). The dolmush to Datca took 1 hour 45 minutes. Arriving in Datca I had no clue where to get off the bus. I asked for Tunc Pansiyon and the bus stopped just by the street leading to the pension.

The ticket Antalya – Marmaris was 23 000 000 TL and the ticket
Marmaris Datca was 7 000 000 TL.

Walking the streets.

I like to walk around the streets and see what's going on. I like to see where the locals do their shopping and also to see what different things people buy, especially to food types.

You see some quite interesting sights!

"antalya in May"

I am a retired man and I am not familiar to use internet ....however I tried to find a suitable hotel in May which is not the ideal time for turkish citizen
Anyway I was successful to find a suitable deal in the internet and I realized a pleasant trip with the help of internet .The hotel that they propose me ( saray regency) is situated 60 km to the antalya airport and to tell the truth it was far ahead of my expectations the daily (all inclusive )
price was 30 USD and the service was outstanding.

"white swan"

A lovely surprise from the hotel staff
this is what you get on your bed when you return to your room

"what do you need more"

Under sun shine clean pool...palm trees...topless visitors and drink what you can...I never be in heaven but I am wandering if the service is superior ???
