Bazaars
by kat021
Bazaars are sort of like a cross between a street market and a shopping centre as they are in a building of sorts and grouped together but with elements of markets
the shops we went to was near our resort (the BArut Lara hotel) there was a few bazaars grouped together
the guys there were nice but pushy, wanting you to go into their shop to look
i dont think i need to say this but -- the 'designer' stuff they are selling is obviously fake. of course you cant buy a real D&G bag, Lacoste top or Prada shoes for 10 lira (3 pounds-ish)
one guy did freely admit this, telling my dad that he was selling 'genuine fakes' which we all had a good laugh about the bazaars dont really sell food, they are more clothes, shoes, bags, watches and souveneirs they are all pretty cheap as they are fakes and mass-produced souvenirs
Boattrip to Kekova Bay...

Boattrip to go to Kekova Bay and island
Kekova is situated in Lycia.
On your boattrip you can see an ancient sunken city. The water is cristalclear so you can see the remains of walls and buildings beneath your boat. You can also see ancient Lycian tombes on this trip.
You stop also a couple of times for snorkelling, but beware for the spiny sea urchins that hang out in the ruins beneath you in the water. Please do not take any ancient remains with you as a souvenir. if everyone does this ....
Antalya
by fleurann
"Antalya Old Town"
The architecture of the old town is really interesting, something different around every corner...Mosques, wooden houses, ruins, ramparts and the ubiquitous carpet sellers! The streets are full of colour and the people are good humoured. There are numerous restaurants in the vicinity catering for tourists.
"Kaleiçi Yacht Harbour"
This small harbour nestles at the foot of the old town. Here you can take a boat trip from 2 hours to all day with lunch included. The prices are marked but don't forget to negotiate a better deal!
"Markets"
There are numerous local markets ... At these you can find fresh produce grown in the surrounding districts of Antalya. So much choice and cheaper than in the shops! The atmosphere is great and the people are welcoming.
