Best cultural tip for any place that you visit in the world: Go out and meet local people! Here is a family from a village nearby the city of Antalya, enjoying one of their 300 days of sunshine per year. Just like the rest of Turkey, generations of families prefer to live together, effectively solving many social problems of Western cultures, like the enormous cost of social security for elderly and finding a baby sitter.
Fish Restaurant..
by Erkmen about Kismet Balikcisi
In Antalya you can find many touristy Restaurants.. However I prefer the ones where locals choose.. Kismet Balikcisi is my favourite Fish restaurant in Antalya.. Everytime I visit Antalya, I wont pass without eating there..
The fishes are fresh and really delicious, The starters are very tasty... .. And most important, you are having one of your tastiest fishess for a funny price.. (Half price compared with Fish restaurants in Istanbul)
The restaurant is located at the old "east bus Station" ( Eski Dogu Garaji)... You can reach there by 10 min. walking from the city center.. A place where local buses were leaving, now turned out to be a local market.. Inside the market there are also fish sellers and down the road, you will find the Fish restaurants.. There are around 6-7 Fish restaurants.. All are crowded at nights, and you can all see locals eating there.. So no hussle for tourists.. Instead of being ripped off in a touristy Fish restaurant inside the Kaleici, I suggest you to choose the ones outside Kaleici (Inside the castle) Seasonal fishes will be your favourite.. You choose what you want from a variety of fishes and they weight it first and cook afterwards.. And you pay according to the weight of your choosen fish..
Calamary, cooked shrimps are also a favourite..
If you are not filled up with fish try the deserts also..:)

"Antalya: Attaleia"
I made Antalya a bit of a base when on a long and enduring journey from Korea to Spain. It's the sort of place which has everything - while being a large city it isn't to be avoided if travelling this part of the world.
