75 km west of Antalya 3 km from the town of Manavgat .The water falls from a platform only 2 m. but the current is very powerful.
Near the waterfalls there are nice cool gardens, restaurants and souvenir shops. Beyond the trees you can find one, on which people , with deep faith, tied handkerchief and make a wish.... Wishes tree....
Antalya's most special flavors 2
Tourism, migration, new comers or neocolonialism have been delivered or captured of the city, most of the restaurant or cafes forgot of their traditional or province cuisines..They've all funny-flavorless touristy menus, sad thing that they're still presenting and serving as its as a Turkish cuisine!!! you think so:o)
There are very few local restaurants which are still perform and continue of our traditional province kitchen(Antalya) or Turkish cuisine. They're not well furnished, fancy or posh places, they're all "LOCAL ICONS".You never n ever disappintment..always keep their amazing tastes, reasonable price, friendly service,a naive atmosphere, simple tables, pictures or decorations, which gives you an identity and gusto..
Tandirci Hasan(tandouri),Pacaci Saban(lamb trotter soup),Donerci Hakki Baba(doner kebap),Piyazci Mustafa(bean salad with tahini),Zamora Borek(cheese or mince pie),Yasar Usta(ice cream or fluted deep fried fritters in thick syrup),Ozdoyum(sish kebap+pumkin dessert with tahini),Sisci Ramazan Usta(sish kebap) or Borekci Tevfik Usta,Kaleici simit firini(simit)..they're all my " Local Hero or Icons"..
I have more than these but will keep its to myself and my special guests:o)
I don't want to give you of their addresses, pls ask to locals-real locals-they'll show you of their secret places,I know that sometimes they guide you wrong directions but never give up,because most of them on the narrow streets of the city, and enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner..I'm just humble, simple foodie..jajaja
opps..no need reservation,or fancy apparel,but warn u that they're not good for posh or emo girls/ boys:o)
WARNING:If u don't care my tips!! well go to hell, opps sorry I mean it..go to mc,***en donalds, kentucky ***en chicken or starbucks or eat cheap chicken or meat doner kebaps ,and just fill your digestive system, and super size yourself.. have fun :))))
Alanya is also a large town but has lovely beaches flanking the outskirts. There are great boat trips that can be taken around the cliffs and to the caves. The old fortress affords great views of the coastline here. More pics and info on my Alanya page soon.

Ah yes, Antalya, where 64% of the tourists are German and the prices are, understandably, in deutschmarks. How time flies, because now they'll be in Euros. The point is that Germany is closely linked to Turkey and nowhere more so than here.
