More about Limak Lara De Luxe Hotel & Resort
Loved The Limak Lara
We have recently returned from the Limak Lara in Antalya and would like to say we had a wonderful 2 weeks. The weather was wonderful (28-30 degress C ) every day although the pool got a bit cooler in the second week. The Hotel service and staff were absolutely fantastic, always had a smile and nothing was too much to ask for. The food in the main restaurant was excellent as was the Al a Carte restaurants, especially the Italian and Turkish and breakfast was always a feast.(Freshly squeezed orange juice included no extra Charge! unlike some places)
Lovely beach although we are pool people, so we had lots to choose from ( 5 or 6 , I forgot now).
Fresh fruit and juices are served around the pool areas in the afternoons which was a nice touch and the afternoon teas and cakes should not be missed as well as the ice lollies at 4 oclock each day.
We found the Hotel general Manager Mr Bahadir and the Food and beverage Manager Mr Cetin very helpful and attentive in every detail.
All in all a very memorable holiday and will definately be returning
Almost forgot, have a leather jacket made to measure in one day in the hotel leather shop, first class and great value !

Loved it! It was Just great!!
We returned today, 23rd August from Limak lara having stayed 7 nights and 8 days in Limak Lara in Antalya with my parents, brother, and sister.. This was one of the best resorts/Hotels I've ever been to. I think the service was great, we were 500 people or more every time for breakfast or Lunch the Zen Buffet and as soon as you put your hand in the air, someone will be ready to take your order and help you.. The 6 a la carte restaurants were great.. Japanese and Thai, Fish Restaurant, and Mexican you had to pay 7 EURO per person.. and the other three were for free: Italian, Turkish, and Indian! The six of them were great, and the food was hot and tasty. The activities start at 9 AM and ends at 2 AM Mid night, the animation team works very hard to make everyone happy and enjoy their stay..!! I cant describe how well the animation team works and spends time on activities that makes us not feel bored during the day and NIGHT.. Every single activity was special and amazing.. the Foam Party, Romantic Nights, Every night sketch, Plays for the kids, Volley Ball, Water Sports, Disco, etc... There were many places in the hotel that would offer snacks during the day other than the buffet from 12:00 till 2:00 PM such as: Pancakes, Sandwiches, baked Potato, Ice Cream, Sweets, Pizza, Hot dogs, Pasta, etc… You can also find a 24 Hrs Bar that offers every single type of drink All inclusive! The Turkish bath was for free, but you take the shower on your own. The Sauna and Steam free of charge, the only thing you had to pay for were the Message and Spa.
The rooms were cleaned every single day before noon; the mini bar was refilled every single day All inclusive. There will also be a buffet at 12:00 Midnight if anyone felt hungry, room service is also free of charge from 12:00 Mid-night till 4:00 AM in the morning!! Internet was free of charge, wireless in the lobby and lounge, and a 20 Turkesh/Euro/Dollar refundable money for a cable in the room if you want internet. Get your cable with you, it connects without any configuration!!
I would definitely go back to Limak lara next year, this year was one of my best vacations ever!! I recommend this hotel..Everything you do inside the hotel is inclusive.. Service is good, food is great, you'll mainly find: people from Russia, Israel, Turkey, Europe and different places around the world!
Fawlty Tower in Turkey !
Just returned home from a 7 night stay at the Limak Lara. The serrvice was very poor. The staff were rude and discourteous. Beach appeared to be dirty. Pool was clean but disco and heavy rock music blaring out all day is not our idea of relaxation ! The main buffet restaurant serving breakfast and evening meal was noisy and reminded us of a canteen - again with very poor service.
The restaurants however were ok BUT if you do not book a table by 4pm the previous day - then no dinner ! Canteen only....
Very few members of staff speak any English - which made things very hard when making a request to reception. e.g. We asked for an iron to be bought to our room - 'how many?' was the response. It was extremely frustrating making any requests and therefore we gave up!!! .
Whilst in the bar during the evening the waitress removed your glass whilst you were actually drinking from it (and was half full). This was a regular occurance....
Our balcony was enclosed by glass and was dirty and therefore it was difficult to actually see the sea !
The rooms however were kept clean and tidy and the weather was good......
Very Good Hotel
I have just returned from the Limak Lara having stayed a week myself, partner and 2 children of 15 and 14 years of age.
This hotel is massive and even after a week do not think we had tried every pool, bar or resturant.
We were ungraded to a luxury suite the first night as our family room was not ready. We were shown the family room the next day which was exactly what we had booked but were offerred an upgrade for 200 euros, which we took. The rooms were of a high spec and cleaned through out every day with new towells etc.
The food was good and we had no stomach issues between the 4 of us. There was always something for everyone to eat and the 15 year old is a fussy eater.
The pools and sea were great with loads of beds.
The animators were slightly less annoying than most places I have stayed but that is because I am not a joiner inner if you know what I mean. The evening show was no better or worse than anywhere else although because there are so many nationanities staying at the hotel it takes 5 minutes for them to say hello to everyone.
We went to Antalya one day which I really enjoyed and worth a visit. There are local shops near the hotel but these are a bit more expensive and not as much fun as the bartering in town.
We found the staff polite and they seemed to enjoy talking to the British.
Overall a very good holiday with all the facilities you would expect for the price paid. My only negative comments are we were advised to take Turkish money by Thomas Cook but everyone out there wanted to be paid in Euros (something to do with the exchange rate) and felt we paid more because of this. Also not as all inclusinve as I would have expected as the turkish bath etc was an additional costs.
If you have booked to go here you have chosen well.
Compelled to write a review after some of the negative coments on here !!
We have just spent two very enjoyable weeks at the Limak Lara hotel and having read some of the negative comments I wanted to write about our positive experiences.
We have previously stayed at two other Lara hotels The superb Barut Lara and the equally brilliant Delphin Palace so the Limak had alot to live up to.
We arrived looking for some of the faults others mention on here and we were pleased that most comments were ill- founded.
I had read that the reception was not very helpful, well we found the opposite, infact they were all extremely helpful and courteous and I think perhaps the ones moaning have a bad attitude to the staff, if you demand things instead of asking nicely may be they do not co-operate. We asked for pillows wnen we arrived and got them straight away, our son was given a internet cable and it was faulty and was changed without fuss, we asked for bathrobes and got them. Each time we went with an inquirey they were helpful and always smiling.I would say they were very proffesional and a credit to the hotel.
The staff with the odd exception were lovely but then like here you get staff with attitude in supermarkets etc. We thought that they were very busy working long hours and the heat was exhausting for us doing nothing much all day and that people should gave them a little bit more thought . The rude tourists from some other countries must get them dowm with their demanding ways.We never waited long for our drinks like someone said and the drinks are not watered down, that is rubbish, I drink Johnnie walker whisky and often saw them break the seals on the bottles.
and also the baileys. We had to pace our selves or we would have been very drunk with the large measures given!
The food was good but not as much choice at the other 2 Lara hotels and was mostly hot and replenished with fresh food regularly, we went in a busy period so it needed topping up constantly. You had to put up with very rude noisy people from Israel and russia etc who let their children run and scream around the restaurants and their table manners are dreadful but that is not the hotels fault. The parents talk loudly to each other and across tables and are often unaware that their childrens behaviour is spoiling other guests pleasure.
The mexican restaurant was superb and our clear favourite and was 7 euros supplement per person but well worth it and the tandoori was very nice.
The choice of drinks was good and the waiter service in the oassis bar very good with lovely air-conditioning much needed in august, I had read that the hotel was to hot and air-con poor but we disagree and think it was very good.
The rooms are big and well designed and cleaned daily and not late every day has a previous poster complained about , our son did not get up early so some days if we missed the morning round the maid did clean it later but that was our fault not hers. On her day off it got cleaned later but never after 5 oclock!!
The gardeners do a great job and the grounds are lovely and everywhere kept clean and well maintained outside.
Our favourite spot was at the beach bar listening to reggie mucic etc in the morning and watching the world go by. We like the limak beach set up more than the Delphin Palace because it was less regimented and the water sports facilities looked the best on the whole beach.
Our favourite night had to be the beach party followed by a superb foam party that even my 50 something husband enjoyed with our son but I think the raki may have played a part in his eagerness to join in!!! The animation pulled out all the stops that evening and it really was a great night. They worked so hard and the lighting and effects superb. The water sports team did a great display in the dark with jet skis etc and really the whole evening suited all ages.
We also thought that the adult only romantic night on the pier was a great idea and alot of effort was put in to making it a great evening.
We were lucky to get an invite to the managers weekly cocktail party and it is a chance to air your views on the hotel and staff and I am pleased to say we had no negatives fed back to give.
We like the lara 5 star hotels and have found another one to add to our list, we are already booked to return to the barut and delphin next year at easter and august but we would not rule out another visit to the Limak Lara in the future
We have visited a couple of others on the strip that do not come close the the ones we have stayed in and I would say to chose carefully and read lots of the reviews.
nice hotel shame about food & staff
WE returned fromthis hotel on 2nd July, it is a wonderful hotel, well equipped but could be much better. The rooms were comfortable and of a good size, shame they never managed to clean them until between 4.30 and 5.0 pm every day. There was a really good variety of food, but it was never hot, the buffet lids were left open so that the food went cold, and then hot food was added to this, a great way to get food poisoning! THe only hot food you could get was if they were cooking specials and chips, at lunch and dinner and eggs and pancakes at breakfast, great if that is all you can eat and like it, even the cereals at this hotel were soggy! You would expect that you could get a hot meal at the start of the serving time, not so it is warm then too, we complained to the head chef who said it was because he wanted people to see what he had prepared, he should think more of the quality and not his ego! The staff just were not bothered, you had to hassle to get them to get you drinks or to lay the table, and a 10 minute wait at the bar to get served, even if no one else was there was quite usual. It appeared that they ran the hotel for the staff and not the guests, it is such a shame, as this could be a really wonderful hotel if only it was properly managed. The gounds were wonderful, the pools clean, and always kept like that, they had different management for outside, but the indoor staff could do with taking lessons from them.
The late check out rooms are expensive and are converted changing rooms, the want 60€ for 6 hours, and there is only 2 beds for a party of three, and they tried to get us to check out of the hotel at 10.30am when the room was paid for until 12, yes we had booked a\ late room, but to try and get you out before time is appalling.
We would not go back here until the managment is improved!
We spent two weeks all inclusive at this hotel and had a wonderful time. It's very well designed with lots of different areas inside to sit and have a quiet drink or coffee. Also from the outside it's one of the most unusual on Lara Beach. There are 6 outisde pools, and one indoor. You can always find a sunbed in the shade at a pool or on the beach. Guests were mostly Israeli during out first week and mostly German/Dutch on the second week. We ate in all the a la carte restaurants and found them of a very good standard (except the Tandoori which was closed for the winter). We had no problem booking these as we were flexible on the times we wanted to dine. It might be harder in the height of summer but then there are only a limited number of tables in each of the restaurants. The main Zen buffet restaurant had a very good choice but I would agree the food was not always piping hot. We mostly sat outside for our meals, inside can be a bit noisy as it's all sleek, modern and hard surfaces. We had a very spacious double room with a sea view but I would agree with earlier comments that the air conditining is ineffective. The family rooms are to the rear of the hotel with no sea view, and some back onto the main entrace where buses are coming and going at all hours of the day and night - so these might not be very quiet. Every one of the staff we encountered were very pleasent and friendly, if you treat them with respect, ask for things instead of demaning, and offer a thank-you you will be warmly treated. Some of the reception staff didnt speak very good English but we managed to communicate ok. The "entertainment team" are not pushy - we weren't hasseled at all to play games/volleyball and the evening shows are well worth a visit. Other good points - rooms have bath robes, you get pool/beach towels each day, rooms have a small mini bar refreshed each day with beer, water and soft drinks, there's a late breakfast from 10-11am and a late buffet from 11.30pm -1am and a 24hr bar, hotel bus shuttle into Antalya each day for 6E return, extensive spa treatments availalble but you pay extra for these, lots of watersports available on the beach . Only negative points - outside pools aren't heated and were very cold during our last week, there are 40 tv channels but only 1 or 2 in English, Doctor is extremelely pricey 160E to treat an ear infection ! Overall experience was excellent and I was very pleased we chose this hotel. Would certainly go back again. One tip for Antalya Airport - we were delayed through the night but found the VIP lounge upstairs above the duty free shop. It looked closed as it was roped off and there were no lights on but for 6E each we got big leather sofas to stretch out on, it was real god send !
One of the best hotel in Antalya
The hotel is very clean, the staff are very helpful
the room size was above average and there was LCD tv jacuzi
the food was great, the hotel is big and everybody got some privacy, there are many bars and a disco which is really good, almost all drinks in the disco and bars are free except for some imported ones. the turkish efes beer is good
