Beach and weather?

I am planning to travel to turkey during the last week of may and I hesitate between Izmir and Antalya. In antalya, I would be getting an all inclusive plan at HOTEL MIRADA DEL MAR. I am looking for a relaxing week of beach, sun, swimming, good food and drinks along with experiencing the local attractions. Pictures look great, but I am not sure how are the beaches that time of the year, how are the all inclusive plans (quality) and many other thing :-)
any feedback is highly appreciated...

The weather might be a bit cooler at night in Izmir. You can check the average temps in Antalya but weather-wise you may be better off being in the southern region if you are just looking for the sun. Look for the Mavi Beach certification which means the beach has passed certain standards. There are not that many in Turkey but it is well worth it. By the time you get to Izmir the average temp will be around 80F and for Antalya it can be around 80 F as well. The key is that Antalya has the potential to get a bit warmer during the day. Keep in mind the southern resort areas can start to get congested sometime in June.

Izmir has never seemed that crowded to me during May. You might be able to avoid tourists better in Izmir. I know that sounds odd but until you have hung out at a resort with a bunch of people trying to live it up for a week you really can't appreciate just going on vacation to relax and get away from people. :)

im going to marmaris at the end of may supposible the weather is fine but im still trying to find a site with the same details on i have been to turkey before i like marmaris there is loads to do the weather is fine and the views are amazing

May can be dubious for weather so the further south the better.It's always warmer in the south although that doesn't mean drier in May,as the surrounding hills create their own mini climate but better Antalya.
