I need advice

by Muwahhid

Good morning,

I need an advice with regard to Antalya - which of the 5***** hotels is best for the person travelling with his spouse and two kids? I'd love to stay in a hotel with all the facilities for kids.

Thank you in advance.

Hey Mio! There is a Turkish saying "It is never known who owns money and who has the best religion." Capito?
In Turkish:
"Para ile imanin kimde olduğu bilinmez"

5 star in Turkey is never exactly the same as a 5 star say in London or Europe so if you take 1 be sure that it is probably 3.5-4. Just near the airport.. Ladies beach i think is the better area.

Salam/Gun aydin,

Sirvictor, what were you hinting at with this saying? :)

Ne elakasi var kardeshim?

Muvahhid Kardesim, Her ne sebebtense Seninle hep zid dushtuk.
O Muwahhid Brother! For an unknown reason we are always quarreling.

A VT member called Mio wrote an unwanted letter to you which as far as I see is delated by the moderator. In his letter Mio asked you if you had the enough money to support your 5 * hotel. It was an insulting letter. For that reason I wrote my a/m proverb to lesson him.
imdi Anlashildi mi? /Is it clear?
Have a nice trip in Turkey.

Hi,
I recomand you Rixos Premium in Belek. It's a little bit expensiv then any other hotel in Belek, but wonderful. It has it's own huge aquapark built in the style of Troia town. There are a lot of water slides, a Troian Horse 24 m high with 4 waterslides, two of them been covered were you are sliding in blind and complete darkness, as black holes and the other two uncovered, a boat, a restaurant, kamikadze slides, lazzy river, waves pool, etc.
The hotel is bulid on the largest area among all the hotels from Turkey, covering about 400,000 sqm, 40ha. It has it's own artificial lake on which you can move from a place to another by troian boats drived by troian citizens dres
ed in troian clothes.

Travel Tips for Antalya

victory celebrating

by persian_hiker

I traveled to antalya in august 2007.I was lucky because the celebrating of victory of turkey against Greece (zafar bairami) was in days that I was there .I watch fire game in the city park near Lara beach. The young girl singer (Hande yener) was singing alone: Romeo, Romeo!
peoples are dancing and singing with her. Some of neighbors was bringing plastic chairs from homes and sitting around park. I spend happy times about 3 hour's.
In the beach park I found Latin dance festivals with some youth and teens dances: salsa and tango and some other kinds. Some of dancers were from Russia. I saw Russians and eastern Europeans are in large amounts in turkey. In the aqua park I saw some the dancer girls that are master stroking in the stage!

Taxis At Antalya

by Erkmen

Taxis in Antalya are known to be the most expensive taxis of the Whole Turkey.. Their rates may be compared with the rates of New York... So if it is not a must, I wond advice to take a taxi, and if you are in need go ahead for a bargain..

The main possibility to take a taxi is from the airport..The cost to travel to the city center is between 15-30 USD. But you shall ask before you get on a taxi..

If you are going to travel to the surrounding towns of Antalya, like kemer... Taking a direct taxi to kemer will cost you more, instead you can take a taxi to city center and take another one from the city center.. But dont forget to negotiate the prices..

Carpets

by Leipzig

Carptets have ever played a big role in Turkish culture. Turkey is justly famous for its carpets and traditional textiles. An unforgettable part of anyone's journey to Turkey is purchasing a carpet.

The cost of a carpet is determined by its age, the quality of the material and dyes, the intricacy of the design and the number of knots per square centimetre. Silk carpets are by far the most expensive, wool is more hardwearing than cotton.
Compare prices of the different dealer before purchasing!!

So try to get into one of the numerous carpet facturies to see how they are made.

Antalya - in beautiful Turkey

by JessH

"You've just gotta love the Med...!"

I haven't travelled very much around Turkey; I've been to Antalya and Istanbul, that's it. I think it's a beautiful country with great summer weather, lovely beaches, and every city in every region is entirely different.

Antalya really caters for the tourism industry, with waiters and service personnel speaking more German than English!

It truly is the gateway between Europe and Arabia, and any country down by the Mediterranean sea is bound to be a sure favourite of mine!

"PERGE - beautiful ruins - great day-trip"
