Nice Hotel
by ammi187 about TUVANA Hotel
Little Gem in Antalya's Old Town
by TripAdvisor Member TheblondeEastSussex
Me and my husband stayed at this hotel after our 10-night all-inclusive holiday in Manavgat. I must say that this was a great extension to our holiday combined with a city break in Antalya. First of all, the city of Antalya is absolutely marvellous - very young, vibrant and prosperous with a lovely little harbour attached to the old town called Kaleici.
The Tuvana Hotel is right in the middle of it all and next to the Pascha Mosque from which you could hear the regular prayers - this only added to our unforgettable cultural experience.
The hotel itself is a real gem with is nice architecture, well-tended gardens and truly authentic interior decor.
The staff are very attentive and helpful and the food was also fabulous - extensive breakfast and a 4-course meal for dinner.
I would definitely recommend it for its good, central location and pleasant atmosphere.
Turkey is a great country and the people are wonderful, we will be back soon!
Absolutely lovely

I recently stayed four nights at Tuvana Hotel and was delighted with the property as well as the staff. Each person there made me feel like the most important person ever to visit the hotel from the moment I stepped through their doors...actually even before I left for Turkey! The staff, led by Nermin Sumer, went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed to enjoy my stay in Antalya - arranging a trip to Aspendos, Termessos, recommending activities, etc. Each night's dinner was served in the beautiful garden by attentive and friendly wait staff and the food was sublime. Breakfast was a nice buffet of hot and cold dishes. The area of the hotel, the old town Kaleici, is lovely and in my opinion so much nicer than staying in one of the monolithic and anonomyous all-inclusive resorts on the beaches outside of the city. It is a short walk to the yacht harbor, Hadrian's Gate and a short tram ride to the Antalya Archeological Museum and the beach. Honestly, I can't wait to return to Antalya and can't imagine staying anywhere else. Thank you Nermin, Aziz and the rest for making my first visit to Turkey so memorable! SQ
A contradiciton

The 'deluxe' wing of this hotel has lovely rooms, beautifully furnished and supplied with welcoming fruit, Turkish sweets and a bottle of (just OK) wine. The main section of the hotel is more 'tired' and the area of the swimming pool is fairly basic and cramped with plastic sunloungers. There are no towels supplied for the pool so you have to use your white room towels or bring /buy beach towels.
Breakfast is taken in another building and is excellent with a selection of fresh fruits, meats and cheeses, tomatoes, olives, breads, cereals and drinks.
Dinner was served on the terrace next to the pool and was a 'set' menu which changed each evening. Our children were offered an alternative in advance of it was something they didn't like, but otherwise everyone had the same, served at the same time. The food was very fresh, with a Turkish influence. The service was attentive but food was produced quite slowly so dinner started at 7.30 and finished around 2 hours later (quite an ordeal if you have small children).
The owner and staff were friendly and willing to help and endeavoured to make our stay very pleasant.
Clean comfortable and friendly

Stayed for 2 weeks in May / June 08. Hotel split over 3 'houses' - we stayed in the a standard room which was fine. Reasonablae size, comfortable bed, clean bathroom - no complaints. Very friendly helpful staff - we enjoyed our stay and if going back to Antalya would definitely stay again.
Breakfast very good, altho we did not dine in as there were so many restaurants to try! Of these I'd recommend Favori a 3 minute walk away towards the harbour - atmospheric, friendly and if you fancy teaching English one of the restauranteurs brothers is trying to learn - we spent very enjoyable evening helping him and learning about Turkey 'proper'!
One comment I would add to some of the others I've read - anyone complaining about road works et all can hardly blame them on the hotel!! Yes they were annoying but were virtually finished when we left and improved the area no end.
Much better than a concrete monstrosity!

Just returned from a one week stay at this excellent hotel. Our experience is in line with other recent reviews. Our standard room was just a little on the small side, but otherwise very good (and aircon worked well). Staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was pretty good; didn't try dinner as there are many good value and more interesting restaurants nearby. As noted elsewhere, towels for the pool would have been nice.
A lovely hotel in a very interesting spot

This hotel is in beautiful old buildings with nicely kept grounds and very helpful staff. Our room was in a building whose ground floor seemed to be set out for use for functions. This area was deserted throughout our stay, which gave a slightly odd atmosphere, but the room was spacious, clean and well furnished. It was also very quiet.
The staff (in particular the young, female, manager) were incredibly helpful. The manager even drove out to guide us in when we arrived by car late one evening and got hopelessly lost in Antalya's very busy city centre.
The hotel seems to be mostly booked by tour groups who are on half board, so we were unusual in being independent travellers. Although our tariff was only bed and breakfast, we were invited to dine in the hotel whenever we wished, at no additional charge. As this was for a set meal at a preset time, we only took up this kind offer once.
Breakfast time was very busy, but the breakfast buffet was extensive and varied.
There is a swimming pool and courtyard garden, with attentive bar staff who will bring drinks to you.
First rate experience
by TripAdvisor Member Familytraveller025
We just returned from a three-day stay at the Tuvana, in the midst of a two week trip to Turkey. The experience was first rate in every way. Nermin, the co-owner/manager personally met us at the airport, and from that moment on I knew we were in very good hands. She had persuaded me to allow her to arrange a car rental for me, which worked out very well, with car delivered to the hotel, and at no higher cost than other rental agencies. She and her staff continued to provide excellent service and responsiveness throughout our stay, such that I can truly say it was among the finest hotel experiences I have ever had, even in comparison to 5-stars in New York or Hong Kong.
The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. The pool small but more than adequate for a quick cool-down at the end of a day of sightseeing. The dinners were truly outstanding, and the terrace dining very pleasant. And although there were not many other children there, we were made to feel completely at ease with our 7 and 9 yr old.
I couldn't imagine a better stay in Antalya.
Got to be the most welcoming hotel in Old City Antalya
by TripAdvisor Member delightedofstortford
(We stayed from 9th - 14th July) Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and indeed the general manager (Nermin) and owner of this hotel. Nermin leaves nothing to chance, Gokhan at the front desk made absolutely sure we wanted for nothing anticipating our every need throughout our five day stay. We took four teenagers (17-18 years) Nermin and other staff advised and guided them on which night clubs to go to on which nights, where to go in the evenings etc. The cleaners were extremely friendly, the waiters and bar staff very entertaining. Our bedrooms were very plush with air conditioning. This boutique hotel is not only friendly and welcoming but it is also absolutely beautiful, full of old genuine peices of furniture and kilims. We were dlighted to be served traditionsl Turkish food for breakfast and dinner ,as all too often hotels abroad tend to serve anything but their own traditional recipes.
Thank you Nermin for your warm hospitality.
