Quality Hotel at lovely Lara Beach

Stayed one week as two families on the last week of October 2006. All inclusive new building-2 yrs old-, luxury, nice architecture and decoration, neat and clean. Excellent pools and garden design. Food was of best quality and plenty of choices.Ýnternational food and mostly English and Dutch clients. Very good aquapark and a small but satisfactory children's lunapark.
Due to the location, temp was around 25-27'C and not windy, so could swim and get a nice tan. The beach is partly pebbly, still that is one of the best sandy beaches of Antalya region.there was a lot of good shades for summer and a sunbathing deck on the sea. Very tasty 'gözleme' (Turkish pastry) prepared instantly near the beach by local women were addictive.
The hotel was little busy for this time of the year, though due to the design of the garden-lots of different species of plants and palm trees-it was not disturbing at all.

Unique Quality: Quality of food and drinks was excellent for an all inclusive hotel of that price.
Very close to the airport-15 mins.
Close to the town center and many historical places in the area.
Lunapark for children

We have just returned from a week at the Royal Wings Hotel, Turkey and it was brill!

We could not find fault with it. The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, excellent.

Our party consisted of 2 adults and 5 kids! Two teenage girls 14 and 15 and 3 boys 11, 9 and 9. They had a fantastic time. The water slides and wave machine was great. The hotel was full, and yet we had no problems with finding lovely spots to sunbathe and relax The surroundings were lovely.
Yes we were outnumbered by the Russian and Germans, but who cares, we found everyone very friendly.
No faults at all with the food - plenty of it at any time of the day. The kids did not stop eating, ice cream, pizza, kebab, pasta, chinese, you name it it was there to be had.
The rooms are large, modern and very very clean.Plenty of towels, hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel etc already there so no need to take loads of your own. You dont even have to take your own towels for sunbathing either. They are supplied by the hotel daily (you are given a card to exchange daily for fresh ones).Safety deposit boxes are in your room (nothing to pay) it is all done by a 4 digit code you choose yourself.

We have only been home a week and i'm already wanting to book again.
Highly recommended

well we have just returned from the royal wings hotel.Stayed here last year and thought it was good even better this year.

great food great staff great rooms no complaints from us shall go back again without our nealy adult teenage boys.

Everyone does their best to make your stay special.Give it a try.

Down side pushy greedy russians grabbing food and then leaving it.Other races ie Dutch, swedish and germans all as happy as the brits.

Excellent!!!!

We stayed at The Royal Wings Hotel from the 7th August to the 21st August 2007. From the time we checked into the hotel to the day we left we couldn't fault it.

Although the Hotel was fully booked at the time of our stay no where was packed there are so many bars and restaurants. The food is amazing, the Italian A La Carte is well worth a visit, it is fantastic.

The rooms were good, we had two adults and two children (13 and 11) in one room and we all had proper beds which were really comfortable.

The Entertainment team were amazing, they all worked so hard, with lots of activites and shows every day, if you didn't want to join in they were not pushy. Kenny was an absolute star, as was Casper and Michael!! We loved them.

I would recommend The Royal Wings Hotel to anyone, we have been to Greece and Turkey over the last four years and stayed in similar rated hotels on an all inclusive basis, The Royal Wings Hotel definetely comes out on top!!

The Best Ever!

We returned from the royal wings on 26th August 2007 and we had a fabulous time! The hotel was immaculate and food wonderful. The staff were very helpful and there were plenty of activities if you wanted them. The pool slides were great fun ,there is something for all ages.A brilliant family holiday, our children(aged 8 and 11yrs) loved it and we would definitely go back.As the childrens slides and fair are at the front of the hotel it is also suitable for couples as the grounds are quite peaceful.

Royal Wings Hotel

BEST HOLIDAY EVER

LOCATION: Royal Wings Hotel is located in a resort named Lara Beach, it is a 15 minute drive from Antalya airport.

We booked this holiday through Thomas Cook. I (19) travelled with my mum 47, dad 52, sister 16, sister 11, and brother 9. We went on 6th November 2007 for 2 weeks.
We were scheduled to arrive at the hotel in the late afternoon between 3 and 4pm, however technical delays with the plane meant we didn't arrive at the hotel until 2am.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: We were all very impressed when we first arrived, the night manager was on duty and quickly helped us settle in on our first night.

ROOMS: The hotel upgraded our rooms to a doublex suit. The doors open with a card. Both rooms had a partially sea view and my mum wanted a full sea view, the hotel kindly moved them into a room with a sea view. These rooms are located on the 10th floor in the roof. The rooms have an extra floor. The ground floor has a bathroom (sink, bathtub, and toilet), 2 single beds, and balcony with amazing views. The extra floor has a double bed and a toilet, sink and show cubicle. The room also has a TV, english channels include MTV and after 6pm CNBC, as I was sharing with my sisters we never used to watch anything else besides them but they also have news channels as well. The mini-fridge is free and is refilled everyday. The safe is free and is big enough to fit my 15inch laptop, plus extra things. The showers in the rooms are excellent. The beds were very comfortable, like sleeping on clouds.

STAFF: They are always there to help. They main staff speak English so there are no communication problems. The only staff who does not speak much English are the cleaners. The staff are very friendly and always happy.

WEATHER: Between the 6th November and the 20th November we were lucky enough to get 25 degrees of sunshine for the whole of the 2 weeks. The only time it rained was one night it was a small storm but the next day was perfect again.

HOTEL: The hotel is very clean, black marbled floor you can see your reflection in it. The cleaners are constantly cleaning. One time I went to the bathroom in the lobby and there were 2 cleaners’ scrubbing the floor and doors. The hotel is 10 floors, and had 6 lifts. 4 glass lifts, 2 overlooking inside the hotel and 2 overlooking the beach and pools at the back of the hotel.
The hotel was 100% full, but never seamed crowded. Guest mostly included, Russians and Germans.

FOOD & DRINK: Where do I begin, food and drink is available 24 hours a day, you will never get hungry. In the main restaurant they have a child buffet area which I thought was incredibly sweet. They serve ice cream at lunch and dinner. Each night the food is themed, (Turkish night, Italian night, exotic night etc.) but you will always find some chips. You also have a choice of booking at an al la carte restaurant. Either Turkish or Italian (one per week). I recommend you not to have lunch before the night of your al la carte as it is a big set menu of 8 courses, I was full after the appetisers.

FACILITIES: There is an indoor heated swimming pool 2 Jacuzzis and kids pool free of charge. In the spa centre you can have massages, Turkish bath, scrubs, etc which you have to pay for. There is a gym free of charge.
At the front of the hotel there is a funfair and aqua park, we had a walk around and it looks amazing. At the time we were there it had closed for winter October is the last month it is open.
The hotel has a games room, which has your normal car games, snooker, basketball, shooting, darts etc. These games cost one token which is 1 euro or you can get 6 tokens for 5 Euros. It also has two bowling alleys, the lanes are a little shorter, they don’t have barriers, and you don’t need to change your shoes, which is good my stilettos gave me good luck. Bowling cost 4 Euros per person per game. They also had PS2 and internet connection. Internet café cost 4 Euros for 15mins which felt like 5mins. You have to get used to the keyboard and the computer is all in Turkish I could just manage connecting to my emails. In the hotel lobby there is free wireless internet connection if you bring your laptop. The IT manager is a great help getting connected to the internet.
The sandy beach is located right outside the hotel. We did want a sneak peak into the other hotels but security is very strict. Each hotel has a guard as the beach entrance you may need to show them your room card to let you back into the hotel.

ENTERTIANMENT: The hotel has their own animation team with day and night activities. The night entertainment shows included Broadway, dancing, bingo, comedy etc.

DICSO: There is a club located in the hotel which was pretty dead at the time we were there.

SHOPS: In the hotel they have a few shops including clothes and jewellery. As soon as step outside the hotel across the road there is a loads of shops where you can get your designer bags and clothes but are a bit overpriced. Down the street (10 min walk) there is a shopping mall with your normal shops. There is also a pharmacy very cheap my brother had a cold from before we went on holiday and we ran out of nurofen it cost like under a pound to buy some.

TRIPS: There are plenty of trips to go on, as we are a big family going on a trip altogether can be a lot of money so we for the cheapest offer on a trip to Antalya. First we visited a waterfall which was amazing, and then we went to Antalya shopping centre where you can buy all your bags, and designer clothing. Then at the end we went to a jewellery shop. The trip lasts all day and is fantastic. Previous trips I have been on include the Jeep Safari and the Aspendos trip which are really worth the money.

So, I defiantly recommend Royal Wings Hotel to anyone thinking to visit Turkey. I guarantee you will not regret it. We are already looking forward to the next time we go back.

back again

Once again an enjoyable holiday to the Royal Wings, Antalya...
This is the second time this year i have been to this hotel.
and the second time was even more fun than the first!!!

Having visited before i knew what to expect...the first time i went was April and only 4 month later it had some slight alterations...
There was only 3 people missing from the entertainment team however they had replaced them!!!

there was very few English people at the hotel...infact i think there ended with only 6 of us left there...

and once again i enjoyed it soo much having only been back a few days i have rebooked to go back AGAIN in november !!! i cant wait!!!

A fantastic time

by TripAdvisor Member lesleyWestMidlands

My family and I stayed at this hotel the first two weeks in June. The hotel is fantastic. The food was great and plentiful and there was always a good choice to suit everyone. The pool was fabulous, it is one large pool but it divided into smaller looking areas by having bridges and seating areas over it. Wherever you sat by the pool you had the feeling of privacy and seclusion. The kids mini club was brilliant. My son went everyday and could not get enough of it. The entertainment team work very hard, the jokes are a bit cheezy and political correctness has not got to Turkey just. yet. The entertainment staff work very hard to ensure you have a good holiday - but also respect your privacy if you do not want to join in with the vast number of organised activities.
The only downside to the hotel was the limited English spoken by some of the staff. The hotel caters largely for the german and russian guests but are really striving to involve the English guests as much as they can. The holiday was good that we going back in September. We have never yet been to the same country let alone hotel twice, so you can appreciate just what a fab time we had.

the best hotel we have ever been too

by TripAdvisor Member haminufc

we have just come back from a 1 week holiday to this hotel and we wish we had booked for 2 weeks.....it was fantastic.....
the food was excellent something for everyone and the pool area was so clean we had no complaints what so ever...we booked two rooms because we had 2 adults and 3 children...and when we checked in they asked us if we wanted to be in 1 room.....we said yes and we couldnt beleive what they gave us...A SUITE.. with two bedrooms two bathrooms and a jacussi in the corner ....it was beautiful...the staff are so friendly and the whole hotel is the cleanest ive ever been too.....
the only thing we didnt like was we went out of the hotel 1 night to a shopping centre over the road and the shop owners were so pushy you couldnt look at anything..so we gave up and just did all of our shopping in the duty free shop at the airport....would reccommend this hotel to familes or couples...there isnt anything else around the hotel so i think if you are looking for nightlife you would be dissapointed...cant wait to go back in october......
p.s a taxi from the airport to the hotel is 35 turkish lire..so dont prebook one before you travel there a plently just outside the airport doors and the hotel will telephone you a one to go back again...but check which terminal you are flying from because there are 2 terminals and we got dropped off at the wrong one and its a 5 minute taxi ride to the next terminal and another 5 turkish lire.......................FANTASTIC HOTEL.....BUT WE WERE THE ONLY ENGLISH FAMILY IN THERE....MOSTLY GERMANS AND DUTCH WITH A FEW RUSSIANS ASWELL............

fantastic

by TripAdvisor Member gary81

from the moment you arrive you can not fault the hotel, the moment you check in your bags get taken to your room, no matter what time of day you get there you can have a drink or something to eat there is a 24hour restaurant serving snacks and just there is bar.

as soon as you speak the staff pick up on your accent and they are really friendly, the rooms are really good, spotless.

The area around the pools are really spotless there are staff always walking around the hotel picking up the rubbish, the restaurants around the side of the pool are really nice and there is plenty of choice, the main restaurant is fantastic there is a differenet choice everynight, then there is alcarte restaurants they are fantastic espically the Thai restaurant I would recommend the soup it is really mind blowing
