More about World Of Wonders Kremlin Palace
KREMLIN PALACE BY THE BEACH
This is a theme hotel . All famous buildings in Moscow are replicated. I enjoyed it. But I was not satisfied with food. Like many all inclusive deals here the taste and quality is not the primary concern . The variety, choice, and quantitiy are.
A great spa resort
The all inclusive five star Hotel WOW (World of Wonders) Kremlin Palace is located at Kundu, approximately 25 kilometres east of Antalya City. It is made up of several buildings (at least six) to form a luxurious spa resort. Most of the buildings are approximately five or six storeys high. This is a recently built hotel and most of the facilities are still new. It has 837 well furnished rooms with seven restaurants and at least ten bars/cafes.
Among the very impressive facilities are eight tennis courts, several football fields, game rooms for adults and children including billiards, internet cafe with ten computers, internet on tv in the room (charged five euros per day), bowling center (charged five euros per game), hair dressing saloon, mini bar and safe deposit box in all rooms, large irregular shaped outdoor swimming pool, an indoor swimming pool, children playground, water slide, court for beach volleyball, a 24 hour Divo bar, shopping arcade and private beach.
Don't miss the nightly entertainment at Senat Disco and/or Elegiya bar at 9.30 p.m. All meals and drinks are included in the hotel price as this is an all inclusive hotel. You may view more beautiful photos of this lovely hotel at our Turkey travelogues. This is a spa resort with impressive facilities including private beach. Free tennis lessons are arranged by the hotel on certain days. Hair cut is free too!
La Gondola Restaurant is an Italian restaurant located in the premises of all inclusive Hotel WOW Kremlin Palace at Kundu, approximately 25 kilometres from the heart of Antalya.
When you stay at this hotel for at least one week, you are eligible to dine at this restaurant free-of-charge once a week. This is an a la carte restaurant where you choose your dishes from the menu. Drinks including wine, beer and liquor are all inclusive. The restaurant is quite large, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Dress code is required to enter the restaurant. Services are impeccable. The food is excellent it has to be said! We chose pasta zucchini, pizza margareta, Italian style fried chicken with sallads and potatoes and dessert cake for our dinner.
Senat Disco is located in a large circular building in the premises of Hotel WOW Kremlin Palace at Kundu in Antalya. The disco's opening hours are usually between 11.00 p.m. and 2.00 a.m. nightly.
However there are shows at Senat Disco on certain days of the week at 9.30 p.m. such as the Circus Show on Saturday night and the Latin Dance Show on Wednesday night. All drinks including alcoholic drinks are free-of-charge as the disco is located in an all inclusive hotel. Please note that programmes are changing from time to time throughout the year. Our above photographs depict the Latin Dance Show held on Wednesday night from 9.30 p.m. to10.15 p.m.
It could have been great, but ....
We have just returned from a 5 night all inclusive package trip to the Kremlin Palace. The property itself is very pretty and excellently maintained and cleaned.
The food in the main dining room is average for such all inclusive packages, but the food and service in the al la carte specialty resturants (also included) is well above average.
The MAIN problem with the hotel, and one that will force me NOT to return, is that the airconditioning in the lobby and main dining area is non existant. It was over 40 degrees with 90+% humitity... and it was IMPOSSIBLE to sit confortably in the lobby.
This problem turned a very enjoyable experience into a nightmare.
BTW - the outdoor pool is huge and spotlessly clean, as is the Hamam and spa areas.
We were a party of 17 an a fantastic holiday.
The entertainment team made our holiday, The weather was fantastic apart for 2 days of thunder and lighting which was spectacular.
Rooms were very clean and so was the overall apperance of the hotel.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, and put their self out for everyone.
We found that the boutique was fairly priced as the market as they had a 50% sale on.
Overall value for money this was a fantanstic holiday and cant wait to go back
see you in summer 07!!!!
we were a party of 8 adults and 9 children. this was the best holiday we have been on by far!! we arrived in the early morning and were met by a scene which was almost fairy tale like. from day 1our holiday was non stop action. the animation team were enthusiastic and got everyone involved in the days activities including the very entertaining daily pool games which ended with the hotels club dance. they also entertained us at night with their fantastic shows held in the ampitheatre which then continued with live music in the Red Square. Afterwards our teenagers went off to the disco where they felt safe within the complex. we found the buffet restaurant had an excellent choice on offer morning noon and night. it was even open at midnight for a "midnight snack". we made good use of the a la carte restaurants and also found them excellent. our bedrooms were very comfortable with huge beds. we took a shopping trip into Antalya. the bazaar was definately an experience not to be repeated! A one off visit only, we found the shopping at the two bazaars down the road from the hotel proved to be much more enjoyable. we took the "waterfall boat trip" which the hotel organised. we were able to jump off the boat and swim in the sea. they also took us to some caves which we were able to swim into! we found the hotel grounds extensive and you could even visit the neighbouring hotel (topkapi) it is a short two minute walk along the beach. the water flumes were great fun. we also took full advantage of the free water activities. the weather was fantastic apart from two days of thunder and lightening which although did not benefit our tans still proved to be entertaining to watch. make an effort to get to know the entertainment team who made our holiday.
out of turkey experience!
If you want to visit turkey yet have no idea that you're in turkey this moscovian theme park is the place to go! Although it has great facilities when watersports are not closed for winter (from end September), the Topkapi palace next door conjures a better image of turkey. However, image is all it really is .... the distance from real turkish civilsation is the main WOW factor with both these hotels. If you are happy to stay in a luxurious prison you will be reasonably content here, otherwise car hire and day trips are a must as there's nowhere to stroll to.
The kremlin alludes to imposing splendour, but really it's just goodwindow-dressing. Staff were attentive and responsive, the entertainments team worked hard to integrate guests and keep
the holiday vibe going over a quiet period. Food was plentiful, good basic fresh salads. Mexican restaurant a nice change.
This would be a popular holiday with children and teenagers. Be careful with the alcohol as there is no ID system to prevent youngsters accessing booze and the spirit measures are triples! The beach is nice but, in the sea, shelves suddenly- not suitable for tots to paddle.
Warning for women booking a turkish bath. The massage/ exfoliation takes place is a public area often with a male audience of 20 or so. This was considered v embarrassing by some of the women especially when bikini bottoms were lowered without consultation. Potentially embarassing!
share your vacations with 2000 other guest..
I´ve been there with a friend of mine and my little son (5 years). The Kremlin was nearly fully booked what means that you have to share the main restaurant and the pool and beach area with about 2500 others. A lot of them are russians. There is no hard alcoholic drink available before 5 pm, but you can get Vodka the whole day....
The food in the main restaurant was really great, but the atmosphere is like in a train station. The speciality reastaurants have delicious food, but it is hard to get a reservation (you have to phone at a certain time in the morning and the line is often occupied). During the day you have the possibility to eat at the snack bars surrounding the pool area. The waiters are not motivated to serve others than turkish speaking people. As an stranger you have to wait for hours or you have to help yourself. The rooms are quite big and nice, but during the two weeks our bath room has not been cleaned up once! Somebody told us, they clean the bathroom only if you tip them in advance, what we didn´t do. If you go out of the hotel (what most of the guests didn´t do once in the two weeks of holidays), you should wait for the "dolmus" coach to Antalya. Don´t believe the hotel staff, that a taxi is cheaper (that´s a lie and they get money if you chose the taxi). My recommendation: go out of this hotel as often as possible. Enjoy Turkey itself and the turkish people, who are the most hospitable people I have ever met. You will never forget a two day trip to Kapadokia or listen to AIDA in the ancient theater of Aspendos!
