Susesi is wonderful

by TripAdvisor Member Nonee

My Hubby and I are just back from a two week stay at the Susesi Deluxe and I must say it was a wonderful hotel. The hotel is spotless, the rooms are a good size as are the bathrooms. The food is good and the a la carte restaurants are lovely. If I did have a small complaint it would be that the plates in the a la carte restaurants are cold and sometimes the food wasn't too hot. The entertainment team are a great bunch and really can't do enough to please you, they put on some very professional dance shows too which was a lovely suprise as we expected the usual amatuar rubbish. All the staff are so very friendly and look after the guests so well. I really can't fault this hotel. (apart from my little gripe about the hot plates) We have stayed at the Xanadu in Belek and I think I enjoyed this hotel more and it was half the price!

So if you have booked up to go here, you will have a lovely time. I'm about to book up for October again.

Susesi - September 2008

by TripAdvisor Member ZEBKent

We have just returned from a week at the Susesi Hotel and can highly recommend it. The hotel itself is gorgeous and while it is very large, a lot of thought has been given to the design and many areas have terraces and/or balconies which makes it feel more intimate. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The pool areas are fantastic and the kids slide pools and club were to one side of the hotel, which meant that the main pools were pretty quiet. The snack areas during the day are exceptional - try to find the ladies rolling out the Pide's. You are given a map and instructions on what times the restaurants are open when you check in. It really is worth having a good mooch around on your first day - as the hotel information doesn't really give you the low down on all that's available. The buffet restaurant has a good selection of foods and each night has a theme, taken from the different a al carte restaurants available. You book the a la carte's by ringing reservations between 4-5pm and you make your choice for dinner the next day. You then have to collect your voucher for the restaurant you have chosen from Guest Services which is just by reception. This did seem like a bit of a palavar at first but there are phones by Guest Services, so you can book your next night's meal and pick up that night's voucher at the same time. We tried 3 of the a la cartes and they do offer you a different dining experience, our best meal was in the Turkish restaurant. We didn't go to see the entertainment in the evenings, but chatting to another couple, I think this was pretty mixed, with much of the audience participation entertainment geared towards the majority of Russian and German guests. They did however rave about the Shaolin Monks and Turkish Dance troup. The hotel rooms are large, spacious and very clean. There is an area at the back of the hotel where there are garden rooms and their terraces lead straight out to a private pool area - they look beautiful, no doubt you have to pay a supplement to stay in them, although this wasn't an option with the tour operator we booked with. We went in to Belek and I woudn't bother going there again. There's not much there, it's mainly geared up for the tourist trade, with lots of souvenir shops and a large array of shops selling poor fake designer clothes and bags. There are a couple of bars - which do have satellite TV but you'll be a disappointed football fan if you're hoping to find a sports bar showing different games on different screens. The hotel is about a 20-30 minute walk from Belek or there is a bus or it'll cost you about £4 in a cab. We had changed up our money into Turkish Lira but everywhere you went to pay you are asked whether you are paying in Euros or Dollars and once we said Lira, they converted the Euro rate into Lira of 1 Euro = 2 Lira. As you are staying in a 5 star hotel they do charge 5 star prices for things like sun tan cream - I would recommend that you buy it at home, because even in Belek it worked out about £12 a bottle. The last thing is that we travelled with Thomas Cook and on the return flight at check in they were really strict with excess baggage and were charging people £8 per kilo over the allowance. Also make sure that the luggage weigh-in conveyor belt is clear before your baggage is weighed, as it seemed to be a common complaint that the check in lady had not cleared the previous person's case off the belt before she weighed the next and then told them they had to pay lots of excess.

Excellent vacation

by TripAdvisor Member Gurmani

Me an my wife had a vacation at Susesi 7-17 September 2008. It was just wonderful and we enjoyed the stay very much. The hotel itself is excellent and food is also very tasteful. The environment you feel when you enter is remarkable and it is really 5* resort. Pool area is excellent and we enjoyed pool games very much. They have medal ceremony for winners and we brought 3 medals with us!!! There were evening show programs every day and it was just wonderful. I have no words how we enjoyed this vacation. Animation team is also very good. I will definitely go there again and would recommend to my friends as well. Everybody will enjoy at Susesi who love active vacation.

WE want to go back! Superb holiday!!

by TripAdvisor Member Seashore18

We stayed at this fabulous resort for an Easter break as mother and daughter couple, between the 5th-12th April 2009. WOW... where do we begin! Spotlessly clean and spacious with all mod cons. Everything was PERFECT - exactly as brochure and website look. We had a fantastic sea view room - we even had our own safe and mini bar - NO EXTRA CHARGE! ALL staff are extremely attentive and very professional. Entertainment staff especially are a credit to the Susesi, full of enthusism and loads of energy. A special thanks to Daria, Christina, Junior and Ibraham to name only a few, for leaving us with such happy memories...we are still practising our Turkish lessons!! No pressure to join in variety of activities - choice was always ours.

Food variety, quantity, quality, presentation and availability was excellent for all diners, we dined at 5 of the speciality al a carte restaurants within the 7 night break, again at no extra charge. WE REALLY CAN NOT FAULT THIS RESORT AT ALL. Superb holiday!!!! Would love to return.

Dani, our Thomas Cook travel rep, was very informative and knowledgeable of the area - very honest and approachable.

So if you are planning on going to the Susesi we truly believe you will not be disappointed!

Kind Regards,

Maggie and Kelly

Excellent!!

One of the best hotels in Turkey!
We travel a lot all over the world, we are sun&beach lovers and Antalya is a destination that is not missing for us every year!
We are choosing new hotels always and last summer the choise was Su Sesi Deluxe!
One of the most beautifull hotels we stayed (and we stayed in the last 10 years at Xanadu, Cornelia de luxe, Papillon Zeugma, Calista Luxury, Rixos Tekirova, Kremlin Palace, etc).
The services were top, the animation team very good, the food, drinks, a la carte restaurants...faultless!
Also we enjoyed a terrace family room with swimmimg pool...outstanding!
One of the night we celebrate our aniversary at the fish restaurants; they surprised us with candles, cake, a good wine and a nice atmosphere
For this year we intend to come back -and this is a real issue as in Turkey it is hard to come back in the same place as there are so many nice and new hotels!

don't go in winter time!

by TripAdvisor Member NarcisRomania

I strongly advise not to go at this hotel during winter time! they cannot make and keep warm inside the facilities and in some rooms.
1. the room was very low heated; in one night (between 02.30-04.00 a.m.) we changed 2 rooms to try to sleep in a warm bed.
2. The Turkish bath (hamam) was in the same situation! instead to get hot inside I had to put hot water on me for this!
3. the swimming pool (the smallest one was the only available in this period of time) was very crowded, there was no supervisor from the hotel and some people entered with their shoes in the area, the water was not clear clean....
4. In one evening we went at the Chinese restaurant (one from 2 a la carte restaurants opened); bad choose: in the restaurant was about 14-15 degrees Celsius! we ate and leave very fast not to get freeze. When I told to the guest relations clerk this situation, she told me that she checked and is ok the temperature!
5. the food was ok but with about 30 min before closing time there are not available all types of food;
6. the services at the restaurant and bar were ok;
7. the room cleaning service was very superficial and in one day they didn't visit our room only after we asked it; in one day they didn't refill with bath foam, they didn't put the plastic bag in the rubbish basket and they cleaned the mirror and other glass surfaces leaving visible traces!
8. the hotel's garden is ok, the outside pools look good;

overall was not what we expected from a 5 stars hotel!
