Beach Clubs
by sandysmith
OK so Kalkan may not have the best beach in the town itself but there are also various beach clubs that can be visited - many have free taxi transfers to and from. Most are of the concrete platform type with ladders allowing easy access in to the sea plus the on-site facilities of showers and restaurant are excellent. OK probably cost a bit more to hire the sunbeds here but well worth while for a lazy day. Just beyond the harbour wall is the IBO beach club - within walking distance of the town and a bit further on was the Yali club. Popular too are the Kalamar beach club - around the neighbouring bay and the Kalkan beach club - although we didn't get to these clubs. See next tip for our choice of beach club.

Dived on the old wreck of the Duchess of York, blown to bits but the ribs are still there with groupers hiding under the plating. There is another wreck near to it,according to Turkish sources the Sakarya, which is bigger and in 3 known pieces. Then pick one of the islands or reefs to dive. For more info on these wreck check out:-

Fabulous new Restaurant & Bar in Kalkan habour
by SEBond about Trio Restaurant & Bar
If you are heading to Kalkan don't miss out on a visit to Trio the new restaurant & bar opened during Easter 2007.
The restaurant has been decorated in a tasteful brown & cream colour scheme and it sparkles in the evening when it's all lit up.
I found the menu extensive with a great selection of hot & cold starters and everything and more than you would expect from mains.
I opted for a starter of mushroom & onions in a cream sauce encased in a light cheese basket, followed by fish cooked in a foil parcel cooked perfectly. Leave space for the crepes too gorgeous to miss out on. I returned for a second evening and the food was just as good on that visit
Overall great food, good service in a stylish environment - what more could you ask for I loved the starter of mushrooms in a cream sauce encased in a light cheese basket.
Creative cooking
by gmp1 about Korsan fish terrace
We ate here twice. They do mostly fish, but also a few meat dishes. We had fish both times and it was very creative and beautifully presented.
The view from the roof terrace was beautiful.
I wouldn't say we got a warm welcome from the staff but the service was very attentive until after the main course, when they seemed to lose interest in us. I would still recommend it just for the quality of the fish.

Pronounced cash this is a bustling little town down the coast.Lots of tourist shops, cafes, restaurants and scuba diving as i prefer.
Few historical bits still survive.
Main one is the tomb down by the harbour.Amphitheatre is to the west.
Was called Habesos, later Antiphellos,in greek phellos means stoney place.
