These are amazing ancient ruins on the mountainside above the village of Arif, 30 km north of Finike. There were very few people there, but there was a very helpful and knowledgeable guide. There is a lot of climbing involved in seeing the whole site!
We ate here three times during our fortnight in Kalkan. The service was second to none
and the food was excellent - my husband loved the Ottaman lamb casserole.
The location was lovely too, right by the harbour, although obviously you get a more panoramic view from the restaurants further back which have roof terraces.
After your starter the head waiter brings a mini vacuum cleaner over to hoover up the crumbs
you have dropped - it made me really try not to make a mess! Ottaman lamb casserole.
Kalkan has lots of watersports, offered near beach clubs. This picture is from Aquasports at the Kalamar Beach Club (in Kalamar Bay). They have ringo, banana, water skiing, jet skiing, pedaloes and canoeing. They also rent out masks and snorkles (2 TL ). A friendly bunch of young lads!
Great for kids and adults alike. Whether it's just sun bathing or getting involved in all the water sports, it has to be the best place in town.
Food is excellent and if you can't forget about work, then there's internet access.
Free to use canoes and pedalos.
Sun beds and shades are 9Ytl for the day.
