Perfect Perissia

by pncwils about Paloma Perissia Side Turkey

Just returned after one week at the "Perissia" Hotel Side Turkey, wish it had been longer!
First time to Turkey and all inclusive, would definetely recommend to anybody thinking of this type of holiday albeit we were sceptical.
From the moment we arrived at reception, the staff could not have been more helpful, attentative and friendly. If anything it got better!
The room was spacious and clean. Restaurants and bars, what do you say, out of this world even for one of us who is extremely fussy about food! There was something available all the time for any dietary requirements. Staff and restaurants and bars were always attentive and could not do enough for you.
The hotel has several large swimming pools plus a kids area, as well as a private beach area with bar. Gardens and surroundings were kept immaculate at all times.
Activities, there was always something to do, "The Animation Team" went out of their way to entertain you not just in the evening but during the day with events such as water volleyball, water aerobics, yoga, gymnastics and belly dancing classes! All were available if you required but you were not forced to join in.
Evening - they really excelled with their live shows, we do not normally indulge in events like this however, we were pleasantly surprised that to the extent that after the first few days we found ourselves looking forward to the daily show. We cannot praise them enough for their efforts.
We did not venture too far from the hotel but did go into Side a couple of times which is a must for all historians as well as visiting the nearby market which is held on a Monday and Thursday.
There is a health centre where you can have various treatments as well as the traditional Turkish Bath - a must for all as well as the body peel and massage(the body peel costs a bit extra - the Turkish Bath is free). There is also a sauna . Facilities, room cleanliness, attentive staff, - everything

Fantastic!!!!

Just arrived back from Perissia hotel, Side and we are already thinking about going back. The whole holiday was fantastic from start to finish and I can't believe some of the silly negative comments I have read in previous reviews.
We found most of the staff could speak very good english (don't forget you are in Turkey after all) and those who couldn't tried hard to understand what you needed.
We had two beautiful rooms ( we were upgraded to superior rooms) and I couldn't fault them at all. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. TV even had several UK and USA channels so could watch TV if required.
The main restaurant (Paloma) was lovely and my only complaint was the food got a bit samey towards end of week. but plenty of other restaurants available. My tip would be to book when you arrive as we only managed to get reservations for the turkish restaurant.
The entertainment was fabulous - especially from Danny Boy, Rambo and Ali G. Big hello to all!!!!
Over all, it was one of the best holidays we have had and as we are a family including two teenagers it is sometimes difficult to entertain us all. Perissia animation team managed it!

It was fantastic!

Fantastic time. We have recently come back from 10 days all inclusive stay at the Paloma Perissia Hotel. We had a wonderful time there.Fantastic time! This hotel is very well laid out, stylish and comfortable. The location is superb. We cannot find anything wrong with this hotel as they seem to have thought of everything.
Staff. The staff were very friendly, they are the most amazing, nicest people I have ever met, from the barmen to the cleaners, to the pool attendant, to the reception people - especially Nazmi. He knew all the answers, was very helpful, a true professional! The staff speak better German than English, but they always try to do their best anyway.
Animation. The animation team were all really nice. They work so hard, but they genuinely look like they enjoy their jobs, they really make your holiday complete! We will never forget their "Notre Dame De Paris". Esmeralda,Quasimodo, the priest - BRAVO! It is really worth seeing, don't miss /but take your seats 1 hour before the show!/
Rooms. As for the room - it was clean, comfortable and a joy to stay in.It was cleaned each day and the room mini bar replaced with water and soft drinks every day.
Meals. The food was amazing, we ate in the a la carte restaurants and found the service better than anywhere we have stayed before. Fish restaurant seemed to be the best. The hotels “everyday” restaurant was also fantastic, there was a large variety of food each day and neither of us "suffered" any ill effects from eating there.
Beach. Clean towels are available every day for the pool and beach.Be careful – there are sharp stones in the sea!
Shopping. The prices are mostly in euros and the taxi drivers and shop keepers have an exchange rate known only to them. Shop keepers seem to be too pushy in Side. Manavgat ones looked better in this sense. Don’t forget to bargain. 20%,30%,even50% discounts are possible!
Library. You needn't take any books with you - just visit Perissia's library, you will be surprised!
We didn't see anyone who didn’t enjoy a stay here. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting all inclusive in Turkey, because it was a wonderful relaxing holiday and we will go back!

great hotel

what a lovely hotel. This was the first time we had stayed at a 5 star and it was very nice. The staff were very friendly and they love children. Most speak better german than english and give you better service after tipping.

The food was very good but always the same thing by the end of the 2 weeks we were starting to get fed up with it. Be warned the evening snack available in the paloma restaurant is the leftovers from the evening meal not nice believe me. Better to have room service this is all fresh. Ice is only available between 3pm and 4pm and never at any of the meals. The chinese and italian restaurants were very nice the turkish no good if your a fussy eater.

The animation team were all really nice but the entertainment although very good 9pm -9.30pm kids club then 9.30pm - 10.30 pm the team perform a show. Aladdin and hunchback of notre dame were absolutely fabulous but once this is finished there is very little else going on. There is a singer three times a week on the veranda outside the bacchus bar and she is very good. There is also music occassionally in the Piano bar but there is not air conditioning on this floor and it was really stuffy in there.

Clean towels are available every day for the pool and beach.
The pools are very nice and not too deep, if you want the nice thick pads for your sunbed then make sure you tip the lifeguard. Plenty of activities available like aqua aerobics volley ball, belly dancing give the stretching a go she gives you a massage at the end of it, but you can say no and just laze by the pool or beach if you prefer. Be warned the beach isn't great but they are in the process of redeveloping it.

The turkish bath with body peel and massage was about £30 but well worth the money it is quite intimate and i'm glad 4 of us went together.

All in all this was a wonderful relaxing holiday and i would go back.

Fabulous Hotel

We go to Turkey three or four times a year. Stayed in a 5 star all inclusive last year in Belek and it wasn't a patch on the Perrisia. Staff were miserable and the entertainment etc was rubbish.

The Perissia was clean, food was good, staff were friendly and helpful entertainment was good.and the location was superb.

Rooms were fab a little bit of luxury, and the pool area and restaurants were brilliant and drinks were refilled before you had time to finish them!

A lovely romantic setting and the terrace overlooking the pool and sea view was the best view i've ever seen whilst enjoying a meal.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting all inclusive in Turkey.

Center of Side about 6.00 in a taxi. Manavgat about 4.00 in a taxi - good for the market.

Can't see anyone not enjoying a stay here.

Fabby hotel

We have recently comeback from a weeks all inclusive stay at the Perissia & had a really fantastic time. Hotel was what we were looking for & a whole lot more. When we arrived it was in the middle of a heatwave, however with the great pool area ( which was spotless ) we were able to cool off. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool & on the beach to go around, whether you wanted shade or not. Food was really good, don't think anything that we had we could not fault. We visited 2 of the al a carte restuarants, fish & italian, again, food was great & service was excellent. This all inclusive hotel gave 2 litre bottles of water as part of the package whenever required, never had this before. All staff were helpful, friendly & really enjoyed what they do & were always attentive, they spoke good English. Had such a good holiday there, we would certainly go back again.

We have just returned from a two week stay at the Perissia. Wow! what a hotel. We had a wonderful time there. The hotel and staff are very welcoming. This hotel is very well laid out and very stylish. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times,The food, rooms, entertainment, pool and beach were excellant. The rooms were cleaned each day and the room mini bar replaced with water and soft drinks each day.I cannot find anything wrong with this hotel as they seem to have thought of everything- even our last day a shower room was provided when we required it as we had a late flight and had to vacant our room by 12pm-baggage was locked away for us.
I would love to return to the Perrisia in the near future as it has everything you need for a truly wonderful holiday.

Fantastic 2 weeks in a Fabulous Hotel

by TripAdvisor Member dottieMidlands

Just returned from a wonderful 2 week holiday at the Perissia. Stayed in a 'Superior' room which was exactly as described in the brochure, immaculate. Cleaned daily, with fresh towels and drinks topped up.

Food was of excellent quality and plenty of choice, even if you are a bit fussy with your food, which we definately weren't. Hotel was full to capacity but we never had a problem getting a table. If you don't fancy leaving the beach or pool at lunchtime you can eat at the restaurant on the beach or there's always the Hot and Crusty which serves burgers and fries. A la Carte restaurants were very good, set menu for you to choose from, but book early to avoid disappointment.

Staff were very friendly and most spoke very good english. Entertainment team were excellent and always had loads of energy. We even got roped in to helping out in the 'Aladdin' show, which was great fun. Plenty going on during the day, thanks to Anna and Alena for 'French boules' on the beach everyday.

Plenty of sunbeds, even if your not an early riser and can't get one by the pool then always plenty on the beach and you don't have to tip the Pool guy to get a matress, the minute you get to a sunbed he supplies you with one.

Could ramble on all day about the good points because in our view there wasn't anything bad and would definately recommend this hotel. Even thinking of doing a return trip next year, even though we are not usually the type to go to the same place twice.

Beautiful Hotel

by TripAdvisor Member SharonGlasgow

Myself, my boyfriend and my parents went to this hotel for a week. It was one of the best holidays we could have had, the staff were so friendly and helpful, couldn't do enough for you. There was so much choice of food in the different restaurants that you couldn't possibly get bored. The staff all worked very hard at keeping the place clean and maintained to a very high standard even in the midday heat the gardeners were out tending to all the beautiful grounds. I couldn't praise this hotel enough and will definetly be going back.

Lovely Hotel

by TripAdvisor Member Natalie18

This hotel was so lovely the minute you walked in the reception is beautiful and made to feel welcome. The food was great but a la carte restaurants were the best (chinese). The animation crew were great aswell! The only thing i would say on a bad note is the rude Germans i was like spot the English but this was due to the time of year we went appartantly! Other than that fantastic holiday would definately go back next year in peak season!
