I was in the hotel 2 times, the location is perfect, just next to the centre of town, but it needs some update now (2003). It is called 3*, but I call it 2 *, The hotel next to it, Atinc, is a bit better in service, but the rooms are the same size. Small swimmingpool on top of the hotel.
Directions: Ataturk Bulvari , just 200 meters from the centre.
I know that there are a lot of pensiyons in the center and south of the country, is it easy to reserve at morning for the same night?
I want to make a trip from Istambul, to Capadocia, Antalya and return to Istambul,in ten days, any recommendations? I can move around because we'll rent a car.
Thanks
that should be no problem.
small pesions are evrywhere and you will always find one with space.
even in the high season.
when you are in cappadocia make sure to stay in goreme rather than urgup.
it's a nicer town and the pesions are cheaper and nicer too.
Totally agree about Goreme advice.
And in this season tourism guys are complaining about the emptiness...so you can eaisly find clean and cheap and empty places in everywhere.
Regards,
Aslihan
I wouldn't rent a car in the first place cause local buses in Turkey are pretty convinient and much cheaper. Göreme is the best place, i agree. Heaps of pensions and easy to find vacancy. I reccomend Flintstones or Kose Pension. Cause they are very cheap hostels with swimming pools!! Actually Flintstones has a plus that u can sleep in cave rooms.
Spent a few days at the Anatolia Pension in Selcuk. I highly recommend it (assuming it's still around...that was 94). Ask for Mama Derici, or Cino her son. Great place, and they have a clean, well run, polite carpet shop as well. Got a great deal on 2 carpets...
