Kusudasi luckytravellers style
"Kusudasi, touristy but fun"
Kusudasi is a stopover for cruise ships and a tourist resort. Many turkish people have their holiday homes there. It features several nice beaches and the greek island samos is just a ferry away. If you want to get away from the tourism hire a car € 38 euros/day (and a driver if you want €50,- a day) and go to Tire (local largest open air market in turkey, no tourists) or Izmir a larger city if you like that. Local public transport is about €0,40 0.45$ for a fare on a minibus. "Centrum?" or your hotelname is enough for them to bring you there. Hop on the bus and pay before you go out. It's a great way of transport and you feel turkish.
"Turkish food, always good"
You can't go wrong with turkish food, the quality of ingredients and of the preperation is high. Expect to pay €10,- for a main course fish dish (freshly caught of course) and less for the rest.
Even the buffet food we had at our all inclusive stay at the marbel hotel was exceptionally good. This is due to the fact that there is a lot of very cheap fruits and vegetables available in turkey.
"Luckytravellers Adult Tips"
If you've seen midnight express you might be curious to know about the hash situation in turkey. You can get it in the clubs(who are closed off season) or get lucky with a cab driver (our cab driver just smoked his last but told us possession is not severely punished). Drug laws are strict in turkey, so be careful.
Prostitution is legal in turkey in certain areas, i did not find it in kusadasi, but the clubs are a good starting point. Befriend a worker at the hotel and they might tell you all.
