On your travells through Turkey you will also see fresh Turkish honey being sold at the side of mountain roads, this is well worth buying a few jars to take home, its the most sweet delicious honey you will ever taste

how it was
We will be staying in Kusadasi the last 2 weeks in September for a friend's wedding but want to get away from the resort for about 3 -4 days. Can anyone advise me on the best way to travel from Kusadasi to Istanbul, whether by bus, train or boat. We don't really want to fly unless the other options are too difficult. If Istanbul is not possible, does anyone know of another place we could escape to?
Thank you!
Hi Jenny
Istanbul is the right place to escape
and you can use the busses from Kusadasi to istanbul ( there are many)
If you prefer the night busses you can gain also one day
good luck

First a little bit of history - early in the Roman Empire, the Christians were in conflict with the Romans, because those Christians did not wanted to sacrifice animals at an imperial temple. They were put in this cave, and legend has it that one morning when they woke up, they realized that they had actually slept for 200 years, instead of just one night, and that Christianity had spread to all corners of the Roman Empire.
When they died, these seven men were buried here. Rumor has it that Mary, the mother of Jesus is also buried here.
I haven't spent enough time in this coastial tourist resort, so I cannot write much about it. From the afternoon and the evening I spent there I cannot say I experienced much of its charm, too many tourist shops in the centre.
