Opus Apart, Kusadasi, Turkey - Reviews and Hotel Information

The description that this Hotel was only a 15 minute walk from the sea front is quite deceptive. Your first obstacle would be to navigate across a very busy dual carriageway. However, the frequent and inexpensive Dolmus buses make that a moot point. Kusadasi is a very busy working port in addition to catering for tourists. The Hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming. The Opus is extremely well run with the manager frequently seen talking & listening to his guests. The food is tasty, plentiful and inexpensive and the hotel is very clean. The general atmosphere is relaxed & friendly with a good sized pool and an activity play area for the children. This more than makes up for the hotel’s location being in a residential area of town. The hotel makes an ideal base from which to explore the ancient sites of Ephesus, Priene and Miletus. It is also worth taking a full day boat trip around the coast. Great value for money. Also, every evening, there is a boat trip from the small harbour out to the bay to watch the sunset - breathtaking! I would certainly re-visit Kusadasi in the future and would definitely stay at the Opus Hotel.

The friendly and helpful staff were a major credit to this hotel. The pool was sufficiently large to accommodate young and old alike with the little children having their own area sectioned off. There are large well maintained gardens attached to the hotel and a generous play area with swings etc for children. The rooms were basic but large & spotlessly clean. One feature of the running of this hotel is that anything amiss is fixed immediately. An AC unit that was not working was replaced within the hour & this appears to be the rule rather than the exception. Food and drinks can be ordered at any time of the day and they are delivered to you in quick measure. The only downside to staying here is the location. It is in the middle of a residential area. The view from one side of the hotel is of the side of a hill & from the other, residential apartment blocks. It may be possible to glimpse the sea from the top floor apartments of the Opus, however I cannot say as I did not venture that high. The hotel has 24 hour free internet access which I found quite handy. There are two very large supermarkets within 5 minutes walk although you would have to navigate the very busy dual carriageway to get there. Overall, the Opus is first rate and highly recommended!
