SEAFOOD SPECTACULAR
by whitecliff62 about ALI BABA SEAFOOD RESTAURANT
The Ali baba is one of the most long established fish restaurants in Kusadasi. All the fish in this restaurant is fresh and on display in one of there glass fridges so you can choose exactly what fish you fancy, although the fish is not overpriced it is still expensive, but the quality of the food on offer is unbeatable anywhere in Kusadasi. The look on my dads face is one of complete happiness, until he found out he was paying, that wiped the smile off his face.hahahaha You just have to try the lobster and callamari at Ali babas,Oh and the views over Kusadasi harbour are fantastic. It may be expensive but sod it your on holiday
Where can a guy get a turkey sandwich in Turkey?

"Kusadasi: Gateway to Ephesus"
Kusadasi is nothing but a stepping stone for cruise ship passengers touring Greece who stop by to visit Ephesus. You get off the ship, step on this rock and then proceed to Ephesus by luxury coach. Once you're finished with the Biblical expedition, your shore excursion guide will likely drop you off in the port town of Kusadasi and allow you an hour to get a taste of Turkey.
You might be persuaded to take an optional tour of a carpet factory, but I suggest you escape and explore the streets on your own. For my taste of Turkey, I decided to amuse myself by strolling around cafes and restaurants inquiring about the availability of turkey sandwiches.
"In search of turkey sandwiches in Turkey"
That's right, I wanted to find out if people in Turkey eat turkey! At each cafe and restaurant, I asked the waiter or manager if they had turkey sandwiches. Their responses were funny, as most assumed I wanted a Turkish style sandwich rather than the American Thanksgiving bird. Even my elbow flapping "gobble gobble" didn't provide enough clues for them to know what I was actually asking for. This would be a great bit for one of those "Candid Camera" style shows that you often see on tour vessel tellies.
"Kusadasi welcomes tourists and poses for pictures!"
I actually asked this lady for permission to take a photograph of her!
I usually just point and shoot or deviously sneak photos without the subject knowing, but this time I wanted to see if my request would somehow make her feel happy. She was just walking down the street and I thought her costume was extraordinary, at least significantly different than the clothing I had observed women wearing in Greece.
She smiled, and I got the third photo for my Kusadasi intro. Brilliant!
