Don't say that it's 4 star one

it's situated 500 meters from the sea, in front of Marina harbur, nice view, 10 minutes from the city cente,. rooms are quite comfortable, food is average, staff hardly speaks English, but friendly, no animations or discos, live music in the evening with turkish and other songs, can't say amasing, worth of 3 star hotel

Unique Quality: Great view at night, near to city center

  • Opinion of Price: more expensive than average

"kusadasi in mid - winter"

arrived at izmir airport early hour of xmas eve mornin .stayed at pine bay marina hotel in kusadasi on a 7 day break in turkey. spent 1st day at ephesus only a 20 min drive from my hotel & a excellent site it is with its 2 theatre's & library of celsus been only some of the highlights theirs also baths a gym a colonade full of temples & a fountain & prized houses a seperate & 2b honest step fee required to enter these beautiful & elegant dwellings who ever lived here money was'nt a object or concern . after ephesus toured the grotto of the 7 sleepers some photo opportunity's here but over all not 2 much to c but if going to ephesus it's worth a look
from the 7 sleepers went to the virgin mary they say the virgin appered here the site consists of a lovely little chapel well worth a visit .kusadasi it's not a bad little town but its a summer town & is quite dead in winter there's a few photo opportunity's but beside's the fortress of pigeon island & a citadel in the town their's not a lot of things of historical intrest .

"priene , miletus & didyma"

1st stop priene got here early xmas mornin good cold fresh clear mornin great little site with wonderful visual surroundings as far a the eye could see with its temple to athena & theatre u should spend at least a hour more like 2 at this site plenty to c & photograph this site has much more of a greek look & feel to it there's also a egyptian god or goddess temple but its fairly ruinous state & greek style odion or small theatre as well as the much bigger theatre on the site.. miletus this a excellent sight much over shadowed by ephesus. but not 2 b missed its massive theatre leaves the 2 theatres at ephesus in the dust granted the rest of the site is not as awsome but still has some gems 2 b seen . there's a bath complex complete with statues & a stadium or gym both are superb photo opportunity's there'a market place full of shell's of roman era buildings & a harbour monument as well so dont miss out . finally there is the the temple at didyma this marble colousses was never completed im told but presents magnificent photographic opportunity's as does the statues & freezes that surround the once mighty temple

"afrodisias & herakleia"

when i heared afrodisias was roughly only 2 hours from kusdasi i hired a private taxi the very next mornin its a excellent site not far of ephesus in grandour but it make up for it with location . the lovely snow capped surrounding mountains really stood out as a back drop. a what a treat this site really is.the highlights been the massive stadium & theatre also the sebasteion & tetrapylon but the museum is a real turkish delight check out all the freezes from the sebasteion and a great selection of statues in & outside the museum as well of a aray of sarcophagi and massive clay jugs & jars . finally on to herakleia a real rough diamond nothing to outstanding except for the temple of athena but the location sandwiched in between the lovely lake bafa & a beautiful mountain range make sure u take herakleia in even for the landscape alone
