perfect location
by TripAdvisor Member DutchBikerider
This small and friendly hotel is just outside the noise but 2 minutes walk to the center and 5 minutes to the beach. Friendly staff, large and clean rooms, simple breakfast in a nice green patio, and even a swimming pool stuffed into the small garden.
Good value for a reasonable price.
Great hotel

Sezgin's rooms are great value for money. Mine was spacious and clean, with a balcony overlooking the pool. It's location is central but on a quiet street, perfect if you want to go to the restaurants and bars of Kusadasi town in the evening. The staff are exceptionally helpful , with a good knowledge of the surrounding sights and attractions. I would certainly stay here again if I return to Kusadasi.

The location is perfect - close to shops, transport and resturants. The staff are helpful but only if it benefit them so if they are offering you transport - dinner - tour deals - double check the cost before agreeing as it may be cheaper to look elsewhere. Also, ask them to quote the cost in lira not in euro.
Sezgin Towers

Good points: Very very comfortable beds, large room, big fridge, air con at no extra cost, hot running water all day, the younger Sezgin (one who always wears the hat) was extremely helpful. The staff were not fussed if you took food or drink into the hotel from the local shops.
Not so good: Very steep walk from the town, electricity turned off when you are not in the room, dirty table cloths, ants all over the tables and patio areas, chipped and cracked mugs and plates, free transport to Efes not available despite saying so in their advert, no tip to the maid no clean towels. other staff were less helpful and seemed intent on relieving guests of their hard earned money through quoting prices for trips which were far in excess of those quoted in the town. Some times it was cheaper to travel by local taxi driver than it was through the hotel. Advice given to guests with regard to visits to efes and other places (over heard) was misleading. bar area was dirty, drinks fridge was nearly empty, and was never re-filled. If you are lucky enough to be offered to stay for dinner check the price of the drinks as they are dearer than those in local bars.
We stayed for a short period during July and initial reactions were good, there were very good sized rooms, big fridge in the room, shower room and lovely hot running water all day. The free breakfast was simple and unchanged. The dining area was dirty and overrun with ants, barking dogs started up every time someone new sat down, the place was overrun with cats waiting for food from your plate, the cups were dirty and chipped, the plates were also chipped. Initially the food (buffet style) was left uncovered, but later plastic covers were used.
The reception area was gloomy and out of date, there very little if any tourist books to give pointers on where to go and how to get there. The free newspapers were hardly, if ever ,available, those that were there were dated. What was freely available was
constant hassle from a member of staff on what he could provide in way of transport to trips out and how good his price was. There were a couple of occasions when prices quoted in lira were actually initially charged in euro's (much more expensive).
Our advice to others staying here would be to travel on the local dolmus, it goes to all the places that the hotel quotes for a fraction of the cost, for example efes 8 lira per person on the dolmus return trip. Always double check on the price on the trip quoted by the hotel, confirm lira or euro, and if per person or in total. Do not expect the advertised free transport to efes, it will not be given. They will though offer you a multi day trip to three or four places at vastly more expensive prices. I would suggest that you don't accept as you see very little as you do not have the time to spend at each location.
Our stay was reasonable as we made then aware that we were independant travelers and did not need their help in any way or form. unfortunately Sezgin appears to target new arrivals at breakfast time not to check on their comfort but to enquire about any day trips that they are interested in which he is more than willing to provide his services and transport for.
Overall if you are just sleeping here then it is perfect, if you are looking to meet people in the hotel environment, then this is not the place for you. It is cheap and simple, ideal for a base in the area for a couple of days but no more.

The Sezgin Hotel is a great place to stay if you are an independant traveller and especially backpackers! The prices are very good and the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the city and surrounding area. They are an excellent resource for anything from where to go (including the non-tourist places) to what to do in town. Want an authentic experience - they wıll help you out! The location is great - close to the harbour and right by the action in the old town and city centre. Stay at this hotel and have a great experience of Kusadasi!!

Nice small hotel outside Pedestrian district
by TripAdvisor Member FamilyWth3Boys
My family of five and I traveled on the Aegean coast and we felt that we received great value for our money here. We had a rental car so finding the property was difficult. They should really have a very detailed location map showing where the property is located. There are many pedestrian pathways where cars cannot go around. I ended up walking to the place and having them come to my car to tell me where I needed to go. The staff, especially, Ben, were extraordinarily helpful. The hotel is located about one block past the wonderful Kusadasi pedestrian streets. We noted the pool is bigger than it seemed in the photos. Though not huge, it is a nice pool. We enjoy this property which is quite reasonable in price.
Best value on our trip
by TripAdvisor Member Parrys
The Sezgin Hotel and Guesthouse is a smallish backpacker type hotel. We were expecting something fairly basic for the price but it was by far one of the best places we stayed on our month long trip to Greece and Turkey and certainly the best value. The room was very modern and had more than we needed including fridge, much needed a/c and table / chairs. Very comfy bed and large bathroom.
The staff were very polite and helpful,. They went out of their way to give us an early breakfast which was plentiful. WE chose to stay for dinner and for a small price were treated to a delicious curry meal.
Not suitable for those who have limited mobility as there are no elevator to the rooms and the walk to and from the centre of town in steep
