Great Service in Pleasant Surroundings!
I stayed in this hotel for almost a week in May and was extremely happy with the service, the cleanliness, room facilities and the location. It is very central to Kusadasi town centre (in the old town area), being just a short walk down the hill. It is on a hill so the walk into town is nice, the walk back is great exercise for the thighs!! This hotel is small and ideal for couples and families of all ages.
The rooms are reasonable in size with fans and air conditioning units. Tea and coffee facilities are available (cakes too!) and they have the usual satelite TV on offer. No hairdryer however! Bathrooms very clean with showers (no bath as is often the Turkish way).
The rooms are cleaned daily and to an excellent standard.
The staff of the hotel are so accomodating and welcoming and are more than happy to go out of their way to make arrangements for you.
The grounds of the hotel are also very pleasant - they have a pool area and food is available here for most of the day. A delightful garden. A bar area and a breakfast/dinner eating area. Once a week they offer a traditional Turkish dinner to ant guests who want to stay for it - I use the word traditional with an advisory statement since we were actually served Turkish meze to start followed by steak and fries for main (not exactly traditional I think!!).
Overall a very nice hotel, quiet setting but extremely convenient location.

An oasis amongst the madness
Villa Konak has stolen my heart and planted it firmly within it's four walls. This little B&B type dwelling is a welcome relief from all the hustle and bustle of Kusadasi. No children are permitted to stay here, and also the owners deter against bookings from large parties.
The property is set at the top end of Kusadasi up a steep incline away from the main town. This incline is sometimes a little hard to manage after a few rakis and too much food! The grounds are impeccably kept, as is the small swimming pool, kitchen area and bars. There is a small garden bar below the pool and I have spent many a night here just sipping a raki or dancing the night away.
The accomodation is basic and simple, but to be honest I didn't expect anything more. I would say it is on a similiar level to property types in Greece: basic but all that you need.
We didn't go to Kusadasi for Bar Street and the lager life, we went for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful country.
I would recommend the Villa Konak for those who are looking for somewhere to relax during the day and with the closeness of bars and other evening entertainment nearby.

Beautiful gardens and surroundings without noisy disturbance. Even the toll of the local Mosques soon slip into your sub-conscience.
