"One week in Side"
We stayed for one week on Grand Seker hotel in Side. It was a lovely week. For the first time we tried all inclusive at a hotel, we enjoyed it! The hotel was very nice. A big swimming poole, a private beach not very far from the hotel, it was very clean everywhere, the food tasted wonderful, local wine and beer for free, all the people we met were so polite and friendly and the weather was warm even if it was November. We went away for relaxing, and we really enjoyed our stay.
Side is a very old town. We spend one day in Side to look at the ruins, the Temple of Apollon and The theater of Side built in 2nd century A.D. Very old, very big stones and very imrpessing. We also spend some time walking along the streets in the centre of the city. The centre is not so big, you can't get lost. Lovely small restaurants at the seaside, we recomand fish and seafood. Leather, spice and Turkish tea was what we took back home.
"What to do?"
We tried Turkish bath and massage - lovely! Sunset on the beach every afternoon - beautiful. The market in Manavgat was so big that we almost got lost, exciting and lots of things to buy. A tour with a boat on the flod was disapointing: lots of japanes, little and bad food and a long stop on the beach ( we rather would like to get into the sea to have a look on Side from the seaside ). Don't pay for a trip to the waterfalls. It was just a tiny little waterfall, in Norway we wouldn't call it a waterfall at all. A visit to the local barber was funny for my husband. His whole head was treated and he finished with some fire to remove hear in the nose and ears.
