NICE PLACE, GREAT PRICE, FRIENDLY OWNER
aspawa pansion is a nice, neat and clean place to stay while visiting pamukkale. adem, the owner, will gladly pick you up from the bus station in denizli for free. the pension itself is about a 5 minute walk to the pamukkale grounds, not far at all. in fact, i preferred this because it was more quiet the farther you are from the main road which leads to the grounds.
the rooms and bathrooms are clean and airconditioning is available. in june 2007, i paid 12 euro for a single room w/ ac and bath, breakfast included (as well as pick up from Denizli bus station which is about 30-45 minutes away, depending on traffic).
Unique Quality: adem's family is very friendly and accommodating and his wife's home cooking is to die for! free internet is available and there's even a small swimming pool.
as i was leaving, he even gave me a pamukkale souvenir glass plate - what a nice guy! this last december he even emailed me a merry Christmas and happy new year message. how many times have you gotten that from the owners of pensions you've stayed in?
