Nice accommodation at the Orient Express.

It was a very nice hotel and definately good situated, in the centre of the Golden Horn. We walked to Ayasofia and the wonderful blue Mosquee. The views from the hotel were great: The Bosphorus (with both European and Asian sides) and the Galata area. Even the trains could be noisy, it isn't La Gare de Lyon for example... It's a quite quiet station. I definately recomend the Askoç Otel.

My former job's building was very close to Askoc Hotel.

Well... There are nothing so much to do at nights around the hotel. Location is OK. It's in Sirkeci where you can easily reach Sultanahmet Square and Taksim. The hotel is overlooking main train station. So I'm not sure about the noise. But the building is brand-new and in very good condition.
