Great Little Hotel

We stayed here the first week of March 2009,,,nice friendly staff,,what ever your needs are, they will more than try to help you.
They do have a elevator(lift) here,,it goes to the fourth(4th) floor, restaurant is on the fifth(5th)floor.
Our room was adequate for our needs, clean and tidy.We were on the 5th floor,,there is only two rooms on that floor.

Unique Quality: The main thing about this hotel is the location,,,right in the middle of all the tourist sights and public transportation(tram).
Somewhat hidden and out of the way, but, all kinds of restaurants nearby. Great place for a homebase for exploration of the city.

Great Hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed here in March 2009,,,,one of the better hotels in and around the tourist area of sultanahmet,,always someone at the desk,,it does have a lift(elevator)that goes to the fourth(4th)floor,,restaurant on the fifth(5th)floor.
Check in was a breeze,,same with check out.Any questions you may have will be answered by any staff member of the Istanbul area,,,,,they are more than glad to assist you with anything!!!
Also, the hotel has their own turkish bath area in the basement,,I did not indulged, wish I did.
Breakfast is included with your room,7:30 am to 10:00 am: on the rooftop terrace area.
Free airport pickup with three(3) nights,,check out their webpage for this info. They can also arrange transfer to the airport ,also.

Unique Quality: The location is one of the items that sold me on this hotel,,and the price. This is one of the cleaner or tidest hotel I've seen for the money.Rooms are a little dated ,but clean!

Staff was perfect in any and all ways, for your needs!!!!!

I don't know where the Allstar name comes from never seen it anywhere but here on this website????????

Good Hotel in The Centre

Ambassador hotel is located on the European side with wonderful view of the Marmara Sea, Sultanahmet Square with St. Sophia, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome and the Asian continent.
Hotel Ambassador has well furnished rooms and offers a warm atmosphere. Our friendly and helpful multi-lingual staff offers all guests a warm welcome and hospitality which makes the Ambassador Hotel to one of the most charming hotels in Istanbul.

After a full day's sightseeing in Istanbul, what better way to unwind and relax than to visit our traditional Turkish bath and Sauna? The Ambassador hotel is proud to be one of the few hotels in Sultanahment to provide this facility.

Recommended hotel near Blue Mosque

We stayed 4 nights in the Ambassador Hotel, a hotel which i can definitely recommend. The hotel is conveniently located next to the SultanAhmet tram stop and is only a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and the Hagya Sofia. The staff at the reception is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, and the breakfast buffet is a great start of the day. The breakfast room and the terrace offer a great view over the Blue Mosque and the Bosporus. There aren't really drawbacks, or it must be the call for the morning prayer from the nearby mosque in the early morning, but that's part of the Istanbul experioence.
The hotel offers a fitness room (free of charge) and you can get a massage from a professional masseur (20-30 euro).

Unique Quality: Location, great view

In the heart of Sultanahmet

For many years Istanbul's Hotel Ambassador has happily hosted foreign travelers, especially Americans, Canadians, and Australians, but also British and European visitors.
They come for the superbly convenient location, great friendly service, moderate prices, and perhaps especially for the hotel's own sauna and Turkish bath.
Located on a quiet cul-de-sac off Ticarethane Sokak right next to Sultanahmet, the Ambassador Hotel is literally steps from Divan Yolu, the Zeytinburnu-Kabatas tram, the Sunken Palace Cistern, and the Byzantine Hippodrome. In short, you're right next to all of Istanbul's prime sights.
It's right in the heart of Sultanahmet, as a visit to its rooftop terrace restaurant shows you: the Blue Mosque seems so close you could touch it.
Ticarethane Sokak, by the way, is full of little bistros, cafes, restaurants and kiraathanes (Turkish coffee houses) where you can smoke nargiles if you wish.

Very nice, reasonable hotel in old Istanbul

We stayed at this hotel last year. It's centrally located in the Sultanahmet district, pretty reasonably priced, and includes a full breakfast on a rooftop balcony with amazing views of the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. Staff is really helpful in booking tickets, tours, transpo to and from airport. Rooms are comfortable but simple. Great deal!

Unique Quality: Again the view from the rooftop terrace is great. They also serve dinner but we just went up there for drinks.

Great!

Highly recommended. Good location, just across the road from the Blue Mosque & AyaSofia. A quiet location. Friendly & helpful staff. However rooms are quite small but clean. It would be great if they could provide kettle/hot water flask.

Unique Quality: Great view from the cafe terrace

Very comfortable with a great location

Staying in your nice hotel was a great week to end my 3 month vacation. Very comfortable with a great location. And the breaksfasts were the best since the British B&Bs. I took some photos from the Terrace - they're at http://homepage.mac.com/stepheda/BestOfEurope/PhotoAlbum128.html.

Can you be any nearer?

This hotel is in a great location, about as close to Aya Sofia as you can get without being in it. Breakfast is on the rooftop terrace which has a great view. Rooms are nice and the staff are friendly. They also pick you up from the airport for free.

Unique Quality: Without doubt the best thing about this hotel is the location. The view from the terrace is an added bonus.
