    I have stayed at the Pension Side several times on my trips to Istanbul and it is a great bargain in terms of location, price, service and friendly and helpful staff. Their website is http://www.sidehotel.com/english/pension They do a very nice Turkish breakfast in the morning on the rooftop terrace that overlooks the Blue Mosque and the Sea of Mamara.

    Great hotel (gym ready end April 07). Japanese style modern room with western square meters. Safe in room. Great free breakfast buffet, free fast Internet in the room (need an RJ45 cable). Non smoking floors. 100 meters opposite the Havas airport bus stop at Taksim across the street.
