Small charming boutique

Ansen suites is a boutique hotel, located in the center, close to all shopping places, night life and restaurants. However its in a small silent street,so there is no noise. The place is really hip from the reception to the rooms. You dont actually pay for a standard room, its a 60 square-meters suite with all you can need inside. It includes a small kitchen and kitchen equipment in case you want to cook your own food.A great breakfast is served whenever you want,so you dont have to wake up early. They can bring it to the room as well. Its a full equipped suite for a good price and good service. However staff doesnt speak good English, though one of them knew English and French very well.It is always a great experience for me whenever i stay there.Highly recommended.

Unique Quality: Big rooms, central location far from noise.

Where should I stay?

by Rocco_Tulsa

Another question: Which section of town should I stay in to be close to the sights and monuments, but also clubs and bars for the evening?

I dare. I appreciate the advice and the offer. I'll send you a message when I know the date I'll get to town.

Taksim if you want to be around the nightlife - within walking distance. You can always take a cab to the monuments during the day. Please be cautious in Taksim at night and be wary of your surroundings. Look at other VTer's tips on Istanbul. For nightlife check out:

I like Ansen Suites around Beyoglu. You can find it in my Istanbul VT pages in accommodation. There are many hotels but I guess it will all depend on your budget and requirements. Good luck.

Then stay in Taksim - that's where most of the nightlife is concentrated. Istiklal Caddesi is really busy, day and night. Most other places are closed in the winter. Nightlife is more enjoyable in Istanbul during the summer months where all outdoor venues are in full swing.
