Avicenna is a magnificient small hotel that combines the traditional 19th century architecture with today's facilities. It's located to the beautiful area of Sultanahmet, very close to the sights of the Blue Mosque, Santa Sophia and Topkapi.
I strongly recommend this hotel to everyone who plans to visit Istanbul!!!

Me and my husband went to the Avicenna Hotel for our wedding anniversary. They prepered for us a wonderful room with roses, wine and a fruit basket...
The hotel is very clean and nice. The breakfast was very good with a lot of selection.We try the hotel restaurant once and the food was also very good.
The stuff was very helpfull and friendly we want to thank them all for making our stay in istanbul so enjoyable.

Gorgeous little boutique hotel 300m from the Blue Mosque! Staff are very friendly and organise tours for you at a moment's notice - lots of little restaurants and bars/outdoor pub areas just near the hotel - walking distance to mini marts for water and snacks etc.
Unique Quality: Lovely view of the Bosphorous from the restaurant on the third level.

like the Hotel Avicenna because it's a richly-restored Ottoman-style building with all modern comforts and conveniences in a quiet location on Amiral Tafdil Sokak (No. 31-33)for your info Amiral Tafdil is the grandfather of my wife... just a few minutes' stroll from Istanbul's Byzantine Hippodrome and Sultanahmet Square.
It's also an excellent choice for single women travelers. The Avicenna's 49 rooms make it large enough to host small groups and meetings, but small enough to provide personal service.
Guest rooms are on two sides of the building, and on several levels. Many of those facing east have balconies with views of the Sea of Marmara. Some of those facing west have views of the Blue Mosque. The sea-view rooms are a bit larger and a bit higher in price.
All rooms have modern private bathrooms, air conditioning, satellite TVs, direct-dial telephones, and minibars. Wireless Internet is available throughout the hotel.
The top-floor Terrace Café-Bar and the pleasant Garden Restaurant have fine Sea of Marmara views. The ground-floor breakfast room has garden views.
To find the Avicenna, just walk along Mimar Mehmet Aga Caddesi—the street running by the Blue Mosque on the Ayasofya side—follow it downhill to its end, and the Avicenna is on the right.
When you leave the hotel to see the sights, it couldn't be easier: walk out of the hotel and straight along Mimar Mehmet Aga Caddesi and after less than five minutes you'll bump into the Blue Mosque!
Unique Quality: (I hope that )The hotel manager, Ms Esra Kizilkaya, makes sure that women travelers are especially comfortable and secure. The neighborhood is tourist- and female-friendly.

Avicenna is a magnificient small hotel that combines the traditional 19th century architecture with today's facilities. It's located to the beautiful area of Sultanahmet, very close to the sights of the Blue Mosque, Sant Sophia and Top Kapi.
I strongly recommend to everyone that plans to visit Istanbul.
Me, My husband and our two friends went to Turkey for a 5day holiday.
We recieved excellent service and hospitality from all the hotel workers at the Avicenna. Everything from rooms to cleanliness to food were much better than we expected. The location of the hotel is incredible, on one side you have the beach and the other side you have all of the history of Turkey. Great value for money.
We especialy liked the service of a young man called Gohkan Citi- Front of Office Chief.
He was amazing, he always went above and beyond the call of duty. not just to us but to all the guests.
For these reasons we are recommending this hotel to all of our friends and will definatly be coming back with our kids next year!
I cannot give this hotel enough praise - it has to rank up there with some of the best hotels I've ever stayed with.
We stayed there for 7 night and had an incredible experience. Firstly the hotel is amazing architecture from the exterior and you are wow'ed as soon as you pull up to it.
The reception/lobby/restaurant area is very spacious it is all so chic and contemporary inside it's gorgeous.
My room was perfect, The room was a generous size, with a generous size bathroom and it was all decorated to the highest contemporary standard we had a flat screen TV too. The best part of the room though has to be the bed. I have never slept in a more comfortable bed in my life, it was amazing.
The hotel itself has a great location, it's just a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and city center.
The staff were very friendly and pleasant and they were throughout our stay, very helpful and pleasant. Especially reception clerk was very helpful and hospitable his name is Kaan I would like appreciation to him.
It's excellent value for money for such a high-class standard of hotel. I have relatives that live in the istanbul area and they have friends and family who have stayed in other 'major' hotels which are more costly and a lesser standard than this.
Book it, you won't be disappointed. See the photos for all the evidence you need.
