One of Best Western Hotels in Istanbul

by Penelope4 about Best Western Senator

The rooms are clean. Housemaids clean the rooms round the clock - so ask for a door sign. But even so, they still knock on your door to give towels. Buffet breakfast is average. There are two to three waiters but they don't take your empty plates right away but just go around the room. A fitness room is available, as well as jacuzzi and sauna but opening hours are from 2 pm to 10 pm. Entrance fee is Euro 10 unless you book a package (massage, Turkish bath). Friendly staff at the reception. If you don't book the room directly with them, you can ask for a pick up car at Euro 20. Early check-in is also possible.

I would recommend this hotel. There are round-the-clock room service/cleaning. If you don't want to be disturbed (because they knock at least twice a day to check if they can clean), ask for a Please Do Not Disturb sign from the reception. The bathroom and the room itself are big enough. The staffs are kind and attentive. Lobby is great. Food is fine. There's even a singer at the bar. The weather was not nice during my visit and I wanted to have tea in my room so I asked for a kettle and they provided the goods that go with it (I am sure I will pay extra but that's okay). Allowed early check-in (my plane landed at 7:20 a.m.) and although I did not book directly with them, they agreed to arrange pick-up and it was very helpful because it was raining at the airport when I landed.

The hotel has its own health club (opens from 2 pm till 10 pm). It has a fitness room, Turkish bath, jacuzzi, sauna, massage room. There is an entrance fee but the hotel provides discounts to the guests. The hotel has a bar and a restaurant. Although there are no safes in the room, one can rent at the reception for 2 Euros a day. Last but not least, the hotel provides wireless internet connection.

hello, I stayed in this hotel last November 2002. It is **** stars hotel but really not expancive. As I remember I booked this from my travel agency in Athens, and I payed 35 euro per night. It is very clean and it is situated in the old city of Istanbul.
This is an old area, with many shops.I think there are so many things to see there.
Have a nice time:))))

..the location is excellent. Both in Sulthanamet. By looking at a map..Sultanamet seems huge..but in fact the whole area is tiny...so great for covering by foot. Santa Sophia, White Mosque and the whole neighbourhood is charming.
Those hotels on the other hand...are just ok. Dont get hyped up by the way they look in their websites...most of them are tarted up. Nevertheless..Sulthanamet is "The" area to stay. Best of luck.

Thanks for your prompt reply, I was
concerned with the walking distance between the center of town and the hotels, so I wouldn't have to take public transportation.
Tthanks again,
Enjoy your summer!
