Central Location & Cosy

On the first day I was in Istanbul, my room was on the main street side, which is incredibly noisy (there seems to be a football match that night and the crowd was rather rowdy!).

The day before my departure flight I was put up in another room, at the back of the hotel. There was no view (a wall at 1 meter distance) and somewhat less noise, but still noisy.

My room was pretty with beautiful dark furniture and comfortable beds. However, there is something wrong with the curtain railings in both rooms I was in as everytime I tried to draw the curtains, it will slip off the railing.

The location of the hotel is good, central on Taksim Square where the Metro Station, the funicular and the bus terminal are. It took me around 3 - 5 minutes to walk from the hotel to Istiqlal Cadessi.

Unique Quality: I loved the cartoon characters on the walls.

The elevators, although very uniquely antique are a little too small for my liking. It can only accommodate a maximum of 3 - 4 people (without baggage/luggage).

The breakfast is good, a lot of choice.

Extended Stay Hotel

Hi All,

I will be arriving in Istanbul for a few months and I thought about staying in an inexpensive hotel. Does anyone know a good , inexpensive extended stay hotel that has internet connection possible from the rooms?

I can spend up to 1000 USD per month.

Thanks for your answer. I am looking for a hotel because I don't want the hassle of paying bills. Internet connection is extremely important to me, I think the hotel you listed doesn't have internet in every room.

You can try Divan although it may be more money, you can try to negotiate also. I've stayed in Galata at an apartment as well for a week. They do rent it monthly also - possibly. Check istanbulholidayapartments.com. Iwrote about it in my Istanbul accommodation page.
