Good Location hotel in Istanbul

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on December 28, 2011

I stayed at Erboy hotel in last winter. I like this hotel because the location (Sirkeci) not far from train station( only 2 minite walking distance). So you can go easy to everywhere around Istambul.

The room clean but small (I though most hotel in Istambul small). You need to choose twin bed if stayed with your friends because double bed not big enough for two people.

They provide good Turkish breakfast, I like honey comb (I don't know it is real comb or the chef made it ).
You can easily find restaurant, grocery, art shop around hotel (Sirkeci area).
It take 3 minute to Sultan Ahmet area by train.

I will stay at Erboy (again) if I visit Istambul next year.

Unique Quality: The location is good, not far from train station.
Erboy hotel has top deck reastaurant, you can see Bosphorus sea from this place.

Directions: Sirkeci train station (from Sultan Ahmet direction), turn left

I stayed 4 day at Erboy hotel during last winter .
Location at Sirkeci only 50 meter from train station and 10 mnt by walking to Sultan Ahmet or 2 mnt by train .The room small but clean, heater working well. good breakfast menu.
If you are couple and has big body, prefer to choose twin bed. Because the double bad will be too small for you..:)

Unique Quality: You can find easily : restaurant, groceries, art shop around Erboy hotel.

And The beautiful recepction lady very nice and heplful.
I ordered room (5 days) via internet, the provide pick and drop from airport

This hotel is in an excellent location on the peninsula in the Sultanahmet district.

It gives you great access to the St Sophia Museum, the Blue Mosque and the Topkapi Palace, all of which are easily walkable.

I stayed here for two nights in September 2009. The hotel room was pretty basic but clean.

Breakfast was good. I would stay here again if I just needed the basics.

Unique Quality: A roof top terrace was a good spot to take some photos of the St Sophia Museum.

Directions: Located in the "Old Town"

A very Happy Anniversary

We met and stayed here 5 years ago and wanted to renew our Istanbul memories. The hotel is better than moderate and after the filthy room at the Barcello hotel, we were glad to return to a better standard at the Erboy. The ajoining restaurant is first class and breakfasts were a delight.
The friendly staff, from the manager to the bell boy were very polite and efficient.
A stay at this hotel makes for a superb holiday in Istanbul.

Directions: situated for easy walking to most Istanbul attractions.

I spent 10 days in Erboy one of the sirkeci group. The room was not very big but sufficient, it has sat tv, telephone, air condition, bathroom with a shower, hair dryer, the towels are changed everyday.Everything is very clean. From window I could see aghia sofia, a piece of topkapi palace, and gulhane park.Erboy has 3 restaurants: terace one with a view on the golden horn, galata tower, and sultanahmet.Breakfast is served in another restaurant , fresh fruits , vegetables, charcuterie, all sorts of cheese an yogourt, different breads, home made cakes, fresh fruit juices. When I had breakfast there , I could'nt eat till the evenig. There is also a bar on top of the reception.Room service 24/24.Free internet.
Erboy is very well located , close to tramway (gulhane), eminonu port, sirkeci station, sultanahmet , grand bazar, spice bazar. The pasazade restaurant , very elegant with a turkish decoration serves a real turkish cuisine, it has also a terace outside on the pedestrian street Ibn Kemal, with a big choice of restaurants, shops etc.
The english speaking staff is very nice , friendly and helpfull.
Aise the youg lady manager does more than any other hotels managers, , she helps everyone .Just ask her.

I reccommend Erboy for all.

Unique Quality: Nice staff, nice manager, very good location in a safe street.

Directions: Sirkeci aerea, a small walk to sultanahmet and galata bridge.

Stayed for 4 nights having previously booked for 2 nights October 07 ( but then given free upgrade to 'superior' Koneki - top of their range 'boutique hotel.)
The Erboy however didn't disapoint.
Location in Sultanahmet ideal for the historical sites we wanted.
Clean with attentive staff.
'Guest relations managers' (seem the norm with this group) to sort out any problems?/requests.
Restaurant and meals all you could ask for.

Unique Quality: Friendliness off staff
Location for historical sites.
Value for money.

Directions: Sultanahmet - 5 mins walk to Blue Mosque or Ferry port.Tram stop 1 min walk.

Great place to stay!

Best (5.0 of 5.0 stars)

This hotel was a great choice for my stay. It was close to everything. I didnt want to be in the middle of the mosks but not far away from everything. The hotel location is ideal, close to shops, restaurants and mini markets if you need water or some snacks for your room.

The room is clean and so is the bathroom. You can have a nice view from your room and had heater for winter time, which was great. I chose this hotel without any recommendation , just reviews in other website, but I would go back if I can.

The staff is really friendly. They all speak great English and they helped in every way that they could everytime we had a question. Hotel have restaurant on-site with good prices and great food, also a bar to enjoy some drinks in the happy hour and free brekfast everyday (included with your room price).

It was just a great hotel with a budget price! awesome!

Unique Quality: * 2 Min walk to tram line Sirceki / Gulhamet.
* Free airport pickup if you stay more than 3 nights.
* roomy lobby area to sit and relax

Sound digs in a great location

Good (3.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on June 19, 2006

Though I quite often choose hostels if I'm travelling alone I took up the option of a hotel on this trip as it worked out a good deal when twinned with my flights.

I got assigned this hotel having booked my flights via LastMinute.com (the first time I've used them and I must say that for the price of the add on I was pretty chuffed with my deal).

The hotel itself is unspectacular and predictable, but had all I was looking for which was air conditioning, a good location (in fact the location was excellent) and most important was the hygiene as it was nice and clean. Add to this pleasant staff and an ok breakfast I was pleased with what I got and found it no bother stopping there for 5 days.

Especially as you are literally right in the middle of things and I had no problems finding a decent place to eat and stock up on water as the hotel is surrounded by restaurants and shops.

Unique Quality: Stating this hotel has unique qualities may be stretching things but on floor 5 it has a terrace bar which has a great view. While grabbing a nice cold beer you can gaze at the Haghia Sofia on the one side and the front view provides a landscape of the bosphurus. For me the best quality of this hotel is the location. You are about 100 metres from a tram (Gulhane) and just under 5 minute walk from the trio of Blue Mosque/Haghia Sophia and Basilica cistern one way and a few minutes from Eminonu (port area) the other.

Directions: Next to Gulhane tram station. Only few minutes walk from Sultanhamet and Blue Mosque one way and Eminonu the other.

Hotel Erboy (3*)

by written on August 25, 2002

about $60-70 for a double (incl. breakfast)

Unique Quality: Has a splendid open air terrace with a view on Bosphorus and different Mosques. Rooms are clean and neat but rather small. It's better to come for breakfast at the very beginning 'cause the closer it to 10am (breakfast dead line) the less food is left (usually bowls and trays were not refilled)...

Directions: Ebusuud Caddesi ¹32, 34410 Sirkeci, Istanbul;

The hotel is located VERY close to the majority of tourists attractions in the Old Town, very good position, no need to take public transport or taxi to
