Great Location
Feronya Hotel is at five minutes walking distance from Taksin Square, so the location is great. There are a lot of restaurants and cafeterias in the area for all budgets. It is a basic modern hotel. The rooms are kind of smalls but clean and the staff are helpful.

Very comfortable
A 4 star hotel located at the Taksim area....also very close to the Bazar.
The hotel is very clean and comfortable,the price of the room includes breakfast.
Unique Quality: It`s location is very nice simply because it`s near everything!

Dear All,
Heading to lovely Istanbul for the 1st time for five days
Looking for a nice hotel my agent suggest Hotel Feranya.
What do you think shall I go for it?
If any need any hting from Egypt Please dont hesitate :)

is it hotel feronya or feranya? feronya is in Taksim. Taksim is a central place. transportation won't be a problem for you. there are busses, metro, "dolmus"...
you have an agent so they'll tell you where to go. you can have that sightseing tours also a busstop for those at Taksim.

I stayed in Sultanhamet, which is the old part of the city where most of the major sights/sites (Topkapi, Blue Mosque, Ayia Sofia, Grand Bazaar etc) are. I would suggest it would be the best base for you.
I also suggest you have a look at www.booking.com which is a reliable site with honest guest reviews. It will not take any money from you as long as you turn up for your booking.
I booked the Kaftan Hotel in Sultanhamet though booking.com, and was very pleased with it (I have a review on my Istanbul pages). There are lots of other hotels in the area.
Travel agents often work on commission from hotels, and will not offer you the wide choice which you can find if you book independently.
