Grand Cevahir Hotel And Convention Centre
The overall impression I got from the hotel was good. The rooms are spacious and clean. The fasade is impressive and the sport center is really good. I was slightly disapointed that the indoor pool was a bit small. I think the lenght was not more than 15 meters.
Another thing I found a bit anoying was that early in the morning, around 8.00 a.m. a guy comes to your door, knocks on the door saying that he can refil the minibar. It happens even if you put the DO NOT DISTURB sign on your door.
Unique Quality: They advertise themselves as the first convention center in Turkey and the one having the biggest ballroom in Europe.

Could someone please tell me the approximate cost of a taxi from Istanbul Airport (IST) to the Grand Cevahir Hotel & Convention Center?
Also a bar nearby or the best place to watch the CL Final on Wednesday and would I encounter and problems if I was in town that night in my Liverpool shirt?

Its around 30 YTL = 21,5 US. There are lots of pubs to watch CL final on Istiklal Street-Taksim(3-4 km far from yor hotel). No problem with your t-shirt dont worry.
