actually I visited Istanbul about 2 month ago(that was my first trip abroad), and I really loved it,I want to go back soon
about Izmit, a friend of mine wanted to go to a concert there, he didn't know how to get there, so I asked it for him, but thanks, I'll tell him all ur useful information,

Constructed more than 1,400,00 years ago this architectural monument is a proof of the sophistication of the Byzantine era.
It under went many renovation/ additions along the different periods and goverments that govern in the capital.
I love this picture. Yes, it shows three turkish woman -two genrations- that keep a religious tradition. It is debatable how many women are happy following the tradition but hey! look at the smiles. They came in talking and smiling and the have beautiful smiles. And that's Turkey a country where the smiles and courtesy are not lacking. You feel the vribant economy yes. People is busy, yes...but they are still smiling. They still have time to share with the family. Turkey, a country, where the smiles and courtesy are not lacking.

Koc Museum is one of the new museums of Istanbul. Probably the richest man of Turkey, Mr Rahmi koc has built a museum on the coast of the Golden horn which is the first major museum in Turkey dedicated to the history of Transport, Industry and Communications. The collection contains thousands of items from gramophone needles to full size ships and aircraft.
The Museum is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00 and till 19:00 hrs at weekend. The entrance fee is around 2,5 USD and you shall pay an extra to enter the submarine.
The museum is easily reachable from the old city. The taxis will cost around 5-6 USD to reach here. Also you can take local buses.. On the museum there is a teahouse and also a restaurant. Rates may be higher than a usual restaurant however the atmosphere and quality is relatively good for a museum

To reach Pierre Loti Cafe or the Look- out at Eyup, you can either walk or take a Gondola ride. I opted for the Gondola ride, as I had done a lot of "heavy" walking that day!
It is only a short ride to the top of the hill, but the views are magnificent.
WHERE......Just walk a little further on from the Eyup Mosque. You will see the Gondola going up and down the hill
COST.....1.5t/l or use Akbil card.
