    Laleli district is very near to touristy area and with an easy reach of tram you can easily travel in the city, thats why many hotels are located in this area.. However as a local I would not choose to stay in Laleli. since the hotels in Taksim area and Sultanahmet area are more decent, why choose the less decent ones. I know there are many elegant nice and cosy ones, but ı could only advice Merit hotel if your budget fits, if not choose a hotel in elsewhere..

    Merit antique hotel site is a good example of Ottoman-Turk Neoclassical architecture.
