    Gay friendly hotel

    by

This delightful Inn owned and run by two sisters continues its own tradition Close to practically everywhere worth visiting in the old city...friendly Hotel Nomade is a good place for single women travelers..

Unique Quality: With the best little neighborhood cafe, a restored Byzantine cellar, just across the street. Hotel provides an airport pick up service which is $ 25/20 Euro per transfer (not per person). If you would like to be picked up from airport please kindly send your flight details.

Hotel Nomade in Istanbul

by Amy_Softa about Hotel Nomade in Istanbul

$50 to $60 This is a charming little hotel made in an old house in Istanbul. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfertable and it is right in the middle of everything. There is a tram stop on the corner for convienance and my favorite resturant, Vitiman Resturant, is right on the corner. There is a great view from the roof of Sultan Ahmet Cami, and Hagia Sofia. The price is around $50 to $60 depending when you go there.

My 4th visit to this hotel

by athena10x about Hotel Nomade

This little gem of a hotel is fast becoming a hard to get into place. It is clean and nicely decorated and many Europeans stay here. I've been staying here the last 3 years and they are always welcoming when I return. Some rooms are getting a little more over worked than others, and rm. 401 is in the top of the trees. Beware of the front rooms during the weekend because of the music in the night clubs down the street.
The morning breakfast is ok , but the view of the sea and the mosque from the terrace cafe takes your breath away when your sipping your tea The garden terrace is nice upstairs and a good place to sit if you want to have wine, some snacks, to read or just bring a guest.
Ayhan who is the waiter up at the terrace is relaxed and accomodating. If you like feeling like you're at your cool sisters groovy pad in Istanbul...Hotel Nomade is where you want to be.
These people are not as up-tight as some of the more conservative places.

Sultanahmet Hotel Or Studio

by athena10x

I'm arriving back in Sultanahmet on April 15th and I want to book a hotel near either the Turkish Museum or Basilica Cistern. I've stayed at Hotel Nomade but they are booked already. Is there anything close on Yerbatan or Terzihanane Sk?
I need a room for one with a preferably a roof top and breakfast room. Want to spend $75-125 U.S. Don't want to over pay the tourist amounts. This is my 8th time to Turkey but my friends have moved away from Istanbul in the last few years. So I'm asking for help here. Thanks VT'ers

Hi, I stayed at the Golden Horn Hotel in Ebussud Cadessi just near the Gulhane tram stop. Not too pricey (can't remember exact price from 2008), but great breakfasts and roof top room. Easy walk to the museum and cistern.

We stayed at the Sebnem Hotel whilst on holiday last September - my husband like it so much he stayed there again whilst on a short business trip to the city in November.

see my tips.
We were staying in Hotel Medusa and loved it.
They are clean affordable and with great location. Breakfast room on the rooftop is really nice. Breakfast itself very satisfying and the friendly restaurant on the ground floor is outstanding and not overpriced.
