Hello Friends.
I'm from Georgia (gurjistan). Next week I'm going in istanbul, it's my first visit in istanbul, and i'm interested where (in which web page) can i find map of Istanbul (besides 0f Googe Earth).
and which hotel near the centre will you suggest to me? I think it will be good and cheaper if i stay in Hostel (cordial house or sultan hotel). What is your suggest about this issue?

this is the best map of Istanbul.it is belong to IMM.Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
Those 2 hostel are not nice places.Check my accomadation tips.

you might be able to book it cheaper through hostelworld or something. We stayed there 2 years in a row. they were clean, nice breakfast in the morning and wlaking distance to Blue Mosque, etc. wonderful place and safe at night.

Anyone know anything about Oran Hotel (Harikzadeler Sokak No: 36-42, Laleli, Istanbul, Turkey, 34470)? Also any suggestions on how to get there from the airort using public transportation would be appreciated:)

To get to Laleli by public transportation, try this: Leave the airport and go directly across the street to the parking garage (Otopark). Look for the elevator with the sign "Hafif Metro" (light rail). It will take you down to the the train station. Buy a token (jeton) at the booth (1.2 YTL, if I remember correctly). Go through the turnstile and board the metro for Aksaray - but get out at Zeytinburnu, the 6th stop. From there take a taxi to your hotel (the meter starts at 1.3 YTL). We actually transferred to the "tramway" from there, after buying another jeton, but finding the hotel in the little streets turned out to be too confusing - so a taxi is your best bet, at least until you start to get your bearings. Make sure the taxi driver turns on the meter. From Zeytinburnu, the ride is much less expensive than from the airport.

using the light rail is the best hoice but go until the last stop and than take a txi its more cheaper, am i wrong ? last station is aksaray and its about 2-3 km far away from laleli. from airport to aksaray is about 1 hour way with rail.

Well it depends on what time you are arriving. It took me about an hour to get to the airport from the center of the city and it cost more like 30 EUR. At the hotel they said it would cost 20 but they were wrong.
I am looking for a twin sharing ensuite with private bathroom. But am unwilling to spend much...but any recommendation?

That budget is realistic. I paid 10 EUR per night for a hostel bed in Istanbul, after getting private rooms ensuite shower for 15 EUR per night for all the rest of my trip from Iran to Istanbul.

If you are not in Istanbul during a major event or Turkish school holidays, you should have no problem finding something decent around Sultanahmet.
