disaster
The hotel has a good location. And probably used to be a very nice place to stay - but those days are over. The hotel is run down and the management is incredibly inefficient.
The rooms are very tiny. There was one small wardrobe and nowhere to put the suitcases so we had to step over them.
So many things went wrong in this place. They wanted to 'upgrade' us to another hotel. What we politely declined after seeing it.
We booked a room with a city view. But instead we got a view of a back yard with aircon units. The window in the room was broken and fell off the hinges. So they screwed it solid to the frame. I thought it was a strange solution but by this point all I wanted was to chill out and start the holiday. The window didn't matter. We planned to stay in the room only at night.
The next day we came back to our room and found 3 strange men stepping over our private belongings as they were trying to fix the window.
After we complained to the manager that they should have warned us if they wanted to carry out any works in the room, the manager didn't show any remorse. It was apparently normal for them to use our room when they needed.
On our previous trip to Istanbul we stayed in Hotel Agan that was much cheaper. But the people were so much nicer and kinder. It was wrong to think that if we paid more we would get a nicer place.
Unique Quality: We had a LCD TV in the room. It was so highly mounted we couldn't see the picture from the bed. You have to stand up to see the picture clearly. This wasn't a problem. It was more amusing then annoying.
The bufet breakfast was fine. But you have to pay extra if you want orange juice or omelete.

Nice Hotel great Location
The hotel is located in Sultanahmet area near to the Blue mosque and Ayia Sofia .The stuf was helpful .The breacfast could be better.
