Good Hotel at a good location

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Point Hotel in a Junior Suite in February 2008.
The room was really spacious (35 sq. m) with a modern design and the bed was probably the biggest one we have ever slept.
The service was good and the location was really convenient.
The standard rooms are also very good.

Hi,

-Is it too hot to visit Istanbul in August/September?
-When does the summer sales start?
-Any recommendation for a clean & centrally loacted hotel yet not too expensive (around 100 Euros/night)?

thank you.

Hi,

September is nice, but can be very hot in August.

Summer sales start in July, even earlier, and most of them gets some cheaper in August.

For 100 Euros you can stay in any luxury hotel, except few ones.

Cheers.

oh thanx alper,,
is there any hotel in specific?

Re: Istanbul

Hi,

You are welcome.

In August it can reach maximum 33 degress but it is humid here, it bothers. But normally it stays between 27 and 30, that is manageable.

Istanbul is a huge city, I need to ask you what kind os an area you wish to stay; historic and touristic center, or heart of nightlife, or close to many shopping centers, or totally clean and residental..?

Cheers.

Hi,
Best seasons for Istanbul are April,May, september and october though..
For August black sea region would be great.
But if you intend to come over in August stick to central Taksim area.Sultanahmet sometimes can be tracky as the area is very touristic.
Additionally , high season in Istanbul is spring and the autumn.Which means you get better rates in Istanbul if you gonna make it in August.
try , taksim hill -right in the heart of Taksim, point hotel,or well konak hotel

hope it helps
