Turkish Super League football match prices
by MrMMM
after searching a lot of websites for turkish football matches tickets without any luck ( including biletix).
I was able to find tickets for the match i'm looking for in a website called world ticket shop , yet the price seems to be very high.
145 EUR for category 2 and 175 for category 1 for the match between Besitas and Trabzonspor next Sunday (15/2/2009).
My question is, is this price normal or too high?
should I buy the tickets online now, or I can get a better deal when I try to buy it on the same day from Istanbul?
thanks in advance

I saw a Besiktas match in September. I bought a ticket from the box office a couple hours before kickoff and there were also quite a few being sold on the street. I also went to a sold-out Fenerbahce match and bought a ticket on the street just before the match for only a little over face value. Don't pay those prices online. I don't remember what the face value was but it was WAY less than 145 EUR.

I visited Fenerbahce-Ankaraspor last November... € 145 is a very high price, although I realized, that prices are higher than in Austria... ;)
I got the tickets from Biltexi-stand at Istlikal cadessi (situated in abookstore near Taksim square) the day before the match.

I am just forget how much did I pay for a cup of coffee. It is not on my records. I was not surprised by the price...It means is a reasonable price for the gem.
Cemberlitas Hammam (turkish bath)
by SirRichard
This is probably the most famous of the hammams amongst tourist. Though is a bit expensive (comparing with the media) is a good place for your first hammam experience, as there are many tourists like you and they speak english (not fluent, but english anyway).
Price: 10$ only hammam, 15$ with massage.
They have private cabins where you can leave all your belongings.
It’s located in Yeniceriler Caddesi, just in front of the Constantine’s column.
Actually most of Istanbul lies...

Actually most of Istanbul lies 'off the beaten path'. Many tourists do not venture out of the historic section, which is only just a tiny fraction of the old city. Istanbul is a very large metropolis and it's continuously expanding.
