Polat Thermal Hotel in...
Polat Thermal Hotel in Pamukkale. Beautiful large territory, excellent service, delicious food, a thermal pool.
This hotel is handy for the airport and has a great pool area. Rooms are usual Marriott/Renaissance quality, on eadvantage of the chain is that you know what to expect. The Executive Lounge is one of the better ones in the chain, serving a good breakfast and nice snacks with evening drinks.
I think the staff at the reception can provide much better service. I always felt liked they were very reluctant to answer my questions. The waiters and other staff were always ready to help. I stayed there for ten days and they served the same stuff for breakfast every day. Oh my god!!!! They have to be more creative.
Unique Quality: The room where I was staying had a sensational view. The free shuttle to Sultanahmet and Taksim was excellent. There's a nice beach in front of the hotel where you can take a nice stroll cause it's not too crowded.
very close to international airport.
spectacular view on Marmara sea from unspectacular rooms.
Outdoor pool and more restaurants and bars than very similar Crowne Plaza nearby, wich offers slightly better rates and is a little better maintained

I recommend everyone to stay at the Polat Renaissance Hotel, even though it is not near by the city. Only 20 mins by taxi.
350.00$$ a night Room Service is Excellent...
Renaissance Polat Yesilyurt. Not cheap, or even close to sights (except our company's factory), but a great place to stay nonetheless. Beautiful view, great rooms, great health club with indoor pool, Turkish bath, squash courts etc. Also had an outdoor pool next to the sea, but it was spring & winter while I was there.
We stayed here for 9 nights in August 2005.
The hotel was located in a quiet, out of town affluent suburb, though there were regular free hotel city centre shuttles - so we got the best of both worlds - the amazing 24 hour hustle and bustle of the great city of Istanbul and a quiet relaxing retreat back at the hotel at the end of the day!
The hotel is about 20 mins from the city centre and about 5 mins from the airport.
It also has a shopping mall and 6 restaurants but we didnt use these as they were a bit pricey!
The hotel was elegant marble and the staff were friendly and spoke good English.
I would definitely go back and would be happy to recommend this hotel to anyone! It has an indoor and outdoor pool, tennis courts, health club and sea-view rooms.
Good security.

Well, I would stay in polat renaissance hotel which is just 4 kms to the airport. It is a five star hotel. You can get further info from here: http://www.istanbulhotelreservations.com/polatrenaissance.htm . if you think that is too expensive, I am sure fellow VTers will recommend a cheaper one.
These are 4 stars hotels and very close to the airport.. 5 to 15 min. by car
