Hello,
I am a student in Tokyo and will go to Istanbul this july to attend a congress.
The location of the congress is in the
Istanbul Convention and Exhibition Centre (ICEC).
May anyone help me find a cheap hotel which is 10 to 15 minutes walk to the venue?
The congress organizer recommend Taslik hotel istanbul but 55 EURO per night. Another recommended hotel is Golden Age with the same price.
I am looking for 40 and lower price of hotel.

When you will be visiting Aya Sofia and Sultanahmet pay attention to small stone pillar near to Aya Sofia and the entrance to Yerebatan.
The iscription near to the pillar:
'This stone pillar is all that remains of a Byzanthine triumphal arch from which road distances to all corners of the Empire were once mesured.'
So be sure not to miss it!
When visiting Istanbul, you may see little Boys wandering around with their parents in beautiful outfits and wonder what & why? The answer...Circumcision.
Turks defer male circumcision until the age of six or seven, thus turning it from a birth ritual into a coming-of-age ordeal. As a tradition, circumcision takes place during odd-numbered ages.
On the day of the event, the boys dress in white and red ribbons and ride flower-bedecked donkeys or cars to the ceremony.
When the circumcision is completed, the young boy's "status" changes drastically: ribbons removed, they hold escort like kings on lavishly decorated beds, receiving compliments and gifts. Celebration of ritual circumcision is usually held after schools go on vacation or in the fall, close to the opening of schools. A boy who will be circumcised is called Child of Circumcision.
It is appropriate to give a gold coin or a watch as a gift to the boy in accordance to your relationship with him or his parents.
Tradition on Ritual Circumcision
An elaborate circumcision outfit and clothes for relatives of the child are bought by his father. A few days before the circumcision ceremony, he visits his relatives and neighbors in his circumcision outfit and kisses their hands. Every person whose hand is kissed customarily gives money to the boy. The circumcision hat is blue to protect him from evil eyes. In front of the hat a ribbon with the inscription (Wonderful, May God avert the evil eye) is placed.
On the day of circumcision, guests come together and chant Mevlit and eat a meal while waiting for the arrival of the circumcised boy.
In villages in Anatolia, the young boy, before being circumcised, travels on horse back or by a procession consisting of cars, in and around the village. The boy is brought into the circumcision hall just before noon and does not dismount from his horse or get out from car until he receives money from his father. His father gives him a present and then circumcision ceremony starts.
During the circumcision ceremony the boy will have beside him a Kirve which is equivalent of a "Godfather" in Christianity. It is common to hear "Well, it is all over and done" or "God is the greatest"
The boy who has just been circumcised wears a long and loose dress and is gently placed upon a very ornamented bed prepared in one corner of the home, to rest and recover. After having lunch, women and men customarily give presents to the child and stand beside his bed saying “everything remained in the past, you will gain your health soon". Afterwards, the entertainment begins and continues often until late in the evening.
Quite interesting to find out the history on this important stage in a Young Boys life, and it was lovely sitting watching all of them at the Eyup Mosque.
This is where you see a lot of these young boys and everybody is so happy! Photos are being taken of them where ever they can find a nice spot.

I recommend to you go to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM)Sport halls.
All around Istanbul you can find those sport halls and I give you
adresses and phone numbers and name of the places.

You can go those places and give very less money and swim.Most of them have olympic standart or half olympic (25m) swimming pool.Where willl you stay in Istanbul.I can give you closer swimming pool address.

Nusretiye Mosque is an ornate mosque located in Tophane district of Beyoðlu. While its architecture is influenced by Islamic elements, it retains a Baroque style, making it unique to the city. It was built in 1823-1826 by Sultan Mahmut II.

Capitol is another popular shopping mall in Asian side. It is located in Altunizade which is very close to Bosphorus bridge and Uskudar. Many stores distributed in 4 floors include international and local brands. The biggest cineplex in Istanbul is also located inside Capitol with 14 saloons.
